{ Song: Permission To Dance - BTS }
☆彡
The fifteenth of December rolled by, marking the end of the first semester and the start of winter break. It was the most awaited day, also known as, the day of the competition. The dance group stood backstage nervously. They had all met up at their usual practice room in the gym earlier to practice one last time and put on their performance outfits. They decided to keep it simple with just white tops and black jeans and some additional accessories. Jungkook wore a black and white striped shirt underneath his white hoodie that had slits on the side, Jana wrapped a grey flannel around her waist with her white t-shirt tucked into her pants, and Hoseok put on a black cap. Jimin decided to stick to a white full sleeve which he also tucked in.
Hoseok passed the time by stretching as he waited for their number to be called. Jana noticed Jimin standing alone and muttering to himself. He didn't bother hiding how nervous he was.
"Jimin?"
He jumped at the sudden calling of his name.
"Don't worry. You look good. And we'll all do well."
She held up her hand for a high five which he smiled at and returned. She then walked back to stand beside Jungkook. She turned to peek at the crowd through the small gap in the door. She could see the judges seated behind a long table in front of the seats that the rest of the school students and some parents occupied. She looked around some more and spotted her mother. She sighed and stood back in place. Hoseok was still stretching; he didn't really need to since they warmed up and stretched enough in the practice room, but he was trying to distract himself from all the pressure he felt at that moment. Would this be the year they finally win? Or would he have to return home with another disappointment and his father telling him off again.
Hoseok stood up and turned to look around. The competition was held at their school but others from outside were allowed to participate since it was a collaboration with an entertainment company. He might have been the president of the dance club, but he was sure the other participants were amazing dancers, too. He shook his head to get rid of any pessimistic thoughts and wore his usual smile. If the others were stressed, he had to be their support. He took it upon himself to do so as the group leader and choreographer. He then decided to join Jana and Jungkook in whatever they were talking about. Jimin saw them all together and headed towards them as well.
"Alright, guys," Hoseok started. "Whatever happens, it's going to be alright. If you make a mistake, just play it off and keep going. Let's do our best today."
They put their hands together in the center to cheer."Two, three. . ."
"4-J!!"
Not long after, they heard a staff member calling their number. They followed him to the entrance of the stage and halted when he stopped in front of a closed door.
