It would have been another normal, peaceful day for Jana if she wasn't already late. She got carried away at her friend's house earlier that day when they were busy eating, playing video games, and prank calling. Yeah, the usual sleepover rituals. While hurriedly pacing, she caught sight of her favorite flavored donut in her usual breakfast place: EatJin. As intriguing as that fluffy, creamy, chocolate drizzled donut was, she decided against buying it at that time. The cafe was crowded and she was already late enough for her group's dance practice.
She continued her walk towards the gym, and finally after another fifteen minutes she reached her destination. She was met with her friend glaring at her as soon as she had taken the first step inside the practice room.

"Okay, bitch. You have five seconds to explain why you're late again before I personally kick you out"

"Well, it's kind of a long story and we're already running out of time. Let's just start practicing, shall we?"
She sheepishly said, hoping to distract her dance instructor and friend Hoseok. She knew how strict he could get about anything related to dance.

"Seriously now, Jana," He complained. "Fine, you're giving me an explanation after we're done"

Jana sighed in relief after Hoseok had turned his back and started stretching, knowing that he would forget about that so called explanation.

"Where's Jimin?" Jana asked.

"He's helping his grandmother with her shop. What about Jungkook?"

"His father needed him for something back home. Damn, They get to skip whenever they want and I get a freaking lecture because I was fifteen minutes late?"

"Less talking, more stretching"

She puffed her cheeks in irritation but proceeded to stretch anyway. After a couple of minutes, Hoseok started showing her the new choreography he came up with, which was outstanding like all the other routines he choreographed.

"So ... what do you think?" He asked her, panting from the effort he had done.

"Do you even need to ask? Amazing as usual. Problem is me though. I don't think I'll be able to do it that well"

"Well, hun. I'm here for a reason. I'll teach you. And with me as your dancing instructor, pretty sure you won't fail"

"Wow, so modest," She rolled her eyes. "Would we be able to finish practicing before the dance off, though? I mean Jimin and Jungkook aren't here now"

"Oh they learnt it already"

"What! Why did you all learn a new choreo without me?! I feel so betrayed"

She crossed her arms and diverted her gaze away from him. Hoseok stared at her with a soft smile. He found it cute when she acted all dramatic and sulky.
He cleared his throat then stated.

"Well, you haven't been attending our practice sessions the last three days so I decided to teach it to them first"

"I have a life, Hobi. Of course I'd get busy from time to time"

"Do you want to learn this or not?" He asked, ending their meaningless discussion.

She looked back at him and motioned for him to start showing her the moves slowly, still slightly annoyed.
Three hours later and they were done with practice for the day. It was already sunset when they were walking towards EatJin for a light snack. The cafe door opened with a 'ding', and they made their way to their usual table. Two of the four seats were empty since their other two friends were missing for the day. When the waitress went over, Hoseok ordered an iced mint-lemonade, while Jana wanted to get the chocolate drizzled donut that she was craving ever since she had laid eyes on it.

"So, Hoseok. How does it feel like to be a senior?"

"Very stressing with all the school work, but I am so excited to finally graduate after twelve years of torture!! Can you believe I'm not attending school next year? It's college then..." He stopped to let out a sigh in disappointment. "I just hope we win the dance competition for once before I graduate. What about you, anything new happened?"

"I mean, beside the chemistry homework that's been torturing me mentally and physically, not much. Everything is just boring these days."

"Well, try to practice more. The dance off is in five days and we still haven't worked on our formation"

"Hey hey, why the long face? With this killing choreography we're sure to win. This is our year, Hobi. I can feel it!"

He chuckled lightly at her sudden positivity as she was mostly a very pessimistic person. The waitress had come with their order. They remained silent for the rest of their time in the cafe, both being drained from practice. After a while, they decided to go their separate ways to their houses after exchanging 'goodnight'.
