Shehnaaz groaned on hearing the distant sound of her phone ringing.She looked at the screen and saw her mom calling.

Sana:hi maa

Sana mom:hi beta,how are you?

Shehnaaz hated this question. How .are.you.Ofcourse she wouldn't say how she was feeling but a voice from inside was telling her to voice out her feelings. But didn't her mom herself realized how was she?

Sana:I am fine mom

Sana mom:so how's your work going on?

Sana:it's going good

Incredibly good.Her boss cum friend who is missing since a week with her best friend, Sidhansh.She can't even tell how much she is missing a part of her.Sishansh and Sidharth had become a part of her she doesn't know from when.

Sana mom:it's been so long Sana,don't you miss us?

Sana:I miss dad and you

Sana mom:Ajay?

Sana:yeah,him too

Shehnaaz told in a bored tone.How the hell she could miss him who was responsible for her half miseries.On just the mention of his name,she remembered all her old hurtful memories. Shehnaaz's mom noticed the change in tone on the mention of Ajay's name but didn't told anything as she felt it's something between the siblings and she wouldn't interfere.But wasn't it her right to know what is this something?

Sans mom:so why are you not coming to meet us, we are missing you a lot baby

Sana:I am stuck in work mom but I will surely come soon

Her mother went silent hearing this.It's the same thing she would say whenever she would ask her when she was coming.She didn't knew when this soon would come.After a long moment of silence she spoke.

Sana mom:okay but remember we are always there for you and take care

Sana:bye mom

Shehnaaz disconnected the call and kept looking at the phone screen for sometime.There is a difference between between I am always with you and always there for you.Her mom isn't with her but always there for her,really?

She herself didn't knew the answer of this.She was confused.She was a open book just the language of this book was difficult but if her mom tried and spend her time to understand it ,she would understand it.

Sana:ahhh

Shehnaaz got up from her bed groaning and went to make a cup of coffee.She has other things to also worry about most importantly her work.She thought she was only suffering but little did she know that there is someone who is suffering so much than her.

Doc:I have given the injection and he is better now but take care of him

Jay:thank you doctor

Jay thanked the doctor and went outside to see off the doctor.Smitha sat on the bed and caressed her son's face.Her heart broke into million pieces seeing him lying on the bed like a lifeless person with pale skin and messy hairs.

Smitha:I should have been there with him

She whispered softly.She had been told to rest in the hospital for a day but when Jay called Prachi and told her everything. Prachi's expression changed and it didn't went unnoticed by Smitha.On knowing the whole thing,she didn't waited a second and told Prachi to take her home.

Mahi:aunty calm down,it's not your fault....you were not well so you wasn't with him

Smitha:but still Mahi,I had saw his gloomy face when he exited the room but still I didn't say anything
