Chapter 18 - The 🐍

Third Person's POV

The dinner went smooth somehow, just a little bickering and teasing here and there, it was great and they all seemed to enjoy it. Well, except for one particular girl who's too preoccupied by her thoughts.

"Hey you alright? You've been staring at her since before we even started eating." Momo asked snapping her back into reality.

Sana shook her head a little still not leaving her gaze from Y/n who's quite too serious pacing back and forth while on a phonecall.

"I don't know, It feels like something's up but I can't ask her though... I don't wanna pressure her when I know she'll tell me when she's ready..." She said.

Momo can only nod at her understanding what the other japanese meant.

They can't deny it though, they still have so much to learn about y/n and they know that something's up but they can't just easily speak about it.

"Maybe let's just give her a bit space for now. She seems so stressed on that call." Momo replied looking at Alex who's clearly uneasy with Y/n's conversation over the phone.

They can only wonder what is it all about but of course, they can't just asked about it either. It hasn't passed 24 hours since they all met and things are going way too fast for them.

Y/n then walk towards them with Alex tailing behind her. She has an unreadable expression and the girls can only gulp at the sudden change of the atmosphere.

She cleared her throat as she tries to compose herself after the damned conversation she had with Minato.

"So I won't be able to drive you girls back to the resort, Something came up and I need to personally handle it but don't worry, I won't let you walk your way back there" She said trying to lighten up the mood

"Your managers are on their way to pick you up and they'll be here in 5 minutes. So, I want you girls to go straight to your suites once you got in to the resort. You can't wander around tonight" She said firmly earning a whine from the girls mostly from Momo and Nayeon.

"B-but we wanted to-" she cuts off Nayeon saying "No buts. I won't take no as an answer tonight and this is an order. Okay?"

She look at the girls with furrowed eyebrows and they can only heave a sigh before they said in unison "Yes, we got it"

Y/n then looked at Sana who's looking at her as well. She gave her a small smile before gesturing her to come over.

Sana followed right away. She walked towards the latter with her head hanging lowly.

"I want you to stay with Nayeon and Momo-chan for the meantime. I'll fetch you in their room once I get back. Make sure you lock the doors and don't open up to anyone unless it's me, okay?" She reached for the older's chin to meet her eyes.

"I know you have a lot of questions and I promise to give you answers later in our room. But please, follow what I said. I can't risk your safety Sa-chan..." She added.

Something about that nickname made Sana feel butterflies inside her. It seems so familiar but she don't remember where she heard it.

She wasn't able to say anything else except a small "okay" before she engulfed the latter to a tight hug.

"I'll wait for you baby girl. Promise me you'll be back?" She said burying her face at the crook of y/n's neck.

Y/n hugged her tightly kissing the side of her head "I will. I promise. I'm never leaving you again Sa-chan" whispering the last part.
