Chapter 25 - BBQ Party 🍻

Third Person's POV

The girls are now gathered at the resort's rooftop for their bbq party. They decided to divide the tasks to prepare their meals easier and faster, it's much convenient that way just like what Jeongyeon said.

The maknaes volunteered to cook the rice and help in preparing the tables. On the other hand, NaMoSa were assigned to make potato and kimchi pancakes, they also volunteered to cook Budae jjigae. Jeongyeon and Jihyo were assigned to barbeque the meats while Mina and Y/n helps everyone else with their tasks.

Y/n and Mina first help NaMoSa to prepare the ingredients that they will need to make the stew and pancakes. Sana is busy chopping garlics, Nayeon is checking the consistency of the kimchi pancake batter that she made while asking Momo if it's still watery or if it's good enough.

"Mitang, Can you help me peel the potatoes please?" Sana said still smashing the heck out of the garlics that Momo will use for the stew.

"Sure, where's the potatoes tho?" Mina replied, looking for the potatoes while Y/n hand her the peeler.

"I'll help you in peeling that Mina-chan" Y/n said.

Nayeon, still unconfident with the kimchi pancake that she is making decided to ask the girl's opinion for the first 2 piece that she made. "So how is it?" She said

"Not bad... but not good either unnie" Y/n said

"I think it will be good if you will add some onions on it? then maybe a little more seasoning?" Y/n added.

Nayeon nod in agreement following the suggestion of the younger. Momo on the other hand is a bit disappointed with the taste of the stew, she keeps on adding soy sauce, chillies and all the spices she can add but she's still not satisfied with it.

She asked Sana to give it a taste which the latter agreed that it is indeed a bit bland. "I don't know either momoring but it feels like something's missing" She said.

"Should I add more soy sauce or garlic?" Momo replied.

"I don't think it's the garlic though" Nayeon said after tasting a spoonful of the stew's broth.

"It's spicy but bland. I think we need to add this" Nayeon added raising a pack of msg from the ramen cup that they have.

Momo immediately shook her head still not giving up on the stew. "Your pride doesn't let you?" Nayeon teasingly said. Momo can only heaved a sigh from the older's comment making the rest of the girls laugh.

"Try adding some of this maybe?" Sana said pouring the kimchi brine on the pot which really did add a bit more color on their stew.

While Momo's group is busy with the stew and the pancakes, the school meal club is already done with the pot of rice that Chaeyoung proudly cooked while DaTzu decided to make a salad, something about "to make it look healthier" based on dubu.

On the other side, the two besties seems to be having fun with the bbq. Of course, Jeong's playful self is all out again making Jihyo burst in laughter as the latter boast her so called "BBQ Master skills" while doing a cute fire show that's more likely a smoke show while she flip and mix the meats on the grill.

It didn't take long until everyone is done with their own tasks. They started to bring the meals they prepared at the center table as they gather around to start the feast.

The bbq party went on for a couple of hours as the girls decided to spice it up with some booze. Beers and soju to be exact, well of course 2yeon and SaMo are the once who started hyping the girls to drink and have some fun for the rest of the night. It's still considered as a party after all.
