Third Person's POV
The girls spent their time enjoying different rides and games. it's been about an hour of screaming and laughing when they decided to take a rest from the extreme rides.
"Wah unnie, I'm never riding that thing again" Dahyun is paler than usual, they just finished riding the Atlantis. Cold beads of sweats tracing down her face.
Chaeyoung and and Jeongyeon chuckled at their friend's state, It's amazing how she managed to survive the ride itself considering her fear of heights.
"Take a rest Dahyun-unnie, here drink this." Tzuyu handed her a cold bottle of water. Dahyun muttered a small thank you before chugging the whole bottle.
They sat on the bench near the gaming stalls as Jeongyeon wipes the sweat out of Dahyun, while Chaeyoung and Tzuyu massages her hands, They somehow felt guilty encouraging her to ride earlier after the aftermath on the tofu's face.
They were busy calming her down when Momo and Nayeon approached them.
"Now what did you do to the poor tofu" Nayeon said after seeing Dahyun and the other three seated at the bench.
"I'm fine unnie, just a little shakey" Dahyun managed to reply with an assuring smile.
"Well we may or may not made her ride that thing over there" Chaeyoung pointed the ride that swirls and drop like a spinning roller coaster.
"Wow, you've grown some balls there Dahyunnie, I'm impressed" Momo said, clapping both her hand slowly. That's really amusing considering that Dahyun used to cry in fear whenever they force her to join extreme rides before.
The girls laughed at her comment but they did congratulate the poor Tofu, they know how much courage it took her to agree and ride with them. They were busy chatting about their first hour at the park when Mina and Jihyo joined the group.
Jihyo was holding a Unicorn plushie with a huge grin on her face. "Mina got this for me!"
"Now I can't go home without one too." Nayeon, the ambitious one said. The rest of the girls agreed with her, Well, they're in an amusement park after all. They all wanted to win and have something to take home.
"What are you waiting for granny? Let's go!" Jeongyeon held her hand before pulling her towards the game stalls.
The rest of the girls followed the two, Momo clings at Dahyun's arm begging the younger one to win her a bigger plushie than Jihyo's and there is Chaeyoung whining about how Mina didn't thought of giving her a stuff toy when she's the favorite maknae of the latter.
On the other hand
"No Sachan, you won't get me with those eyes. Nope. Not at all." Y/n covered her face when Sana pulled her cutest puppy eyes, begging the latter.
"But you promised me!" Sana complained, shaking the younger Japanese's shoulder
"But that ride will kill us! Who the heck in the right mind would ride that? It'll take you so high up and 3 seconds later you're back on the ground looking like shit" Y/n replied.
Well she has a point, that gyro drop is no joke. It boast a 70m drop, one of the most popular attractions in the amusement park.
Sana pouts at her when she realized that she's nowhere near in persuading Y/n to ride with her.
"Okay, okay stop that it's annoying" Y/n pulled her in for a hug when she saw the latter sulking.
"How about we ride the Ferris wheel? That's a whole lot more worthy than that ride you've been bugging me with," Y/n suggested, Sana lifted her head to give her a quick peck on the cheek.
"Okay, I'm good with that" She replied, quickly pulling her towards the Ferris wheel. Y/n can't help but smile, it feels like a dream.
She knows that this isn't some fairytale and they only have a limited time together, but she wanted to make the most out of it. Hoping that the small time they'll spent together tonight would be enough to make up for their unavoidable tomorrow.
It was beautiful, they can see the whole park from the top. Sana leaned her head on Y/n's shoulder, intertwining their hands together.
"I missed you so much." Sana started.
"You know, I still don't understand what happened, but I figured out that you wouldn't bother telling me your reasons either right?" She added.
Y/n chose not to answer, instead she leaned her head against the latter, closing her eyes.
"I don't know why, but it hurts. It hurts not because you chose to leave me hanging, but because I don't know why you've decided to do so." Sana continued, realizing that the younger has no intentions in answering her tonight.
"Was it because she's prettier?" Her tears started falling down
"Was it because she's better and I'm just being an annoying shit to you?" Another fell, She tries to control her tears but she just can't. She needs to let it out, she needs y/n to hear her, because keeping it inside herself is suffocating, it's been killing her slowly.
"Am I really that unlovable to you?" She added,
"Or was it simply because I was just your entertainment back in Jeju?" This time, Y/n opened her eyes only to see that Sana has been looking at her sadly all this time. Her beautiful face has been tainted by her tears.
"I just don't understand why baby girl, and that's driving me insane." She reached for Y/n's cheek, slowly caressing it with her thumb.
"I'm sorry" The younger said, pulling her into a hug
"You're enough. You're more than enough" She added.
It was painful yet Sana can't seem to believe her, because if she is then..
"Then why?" Her tears stopped streaming already, but you can hear the sadness in her voice.
"I'm sorry" and that's the only reply she heard from the younger Japanese.
She knew she will never be able to crack her code, nor hear what she's been dreading to hear from Y/n.
But that doesn't make it any less painful. She tried understanding her, she tried reaching out. But how can you understand a person that doesn't want to be understood at all?
She nod to herself before pulling away from her embrace.
"Let's at least enjoy the rest of the night?" She said, smiling sweetly to the younger Japanese. A mask she wore to hide her true emotions.
Y/n can see through it though, she saw it in her eyes, but she didn't dare to ask, nor let herself know more about it, because she thought it was for the best.
After all, she haven't done anything than hurt her. So, the least that she can do is fulfilling her wishes, at least one last time.
