Chapter 5 - The Cafe

No one's POV

Twice came back to the building after there short break at the cafè. They've been spending the past few weeks preparing for their next comeback this summer.

Jeongyeon and Nayeon are bickering about who had the most mistake during practice, Momo and Mina are discussing which part of the choreo needs more improvement and there's Dahyun and Chaeyoung teasing the hell out of the squirrel who's definitely red in embarassment after Dahyun mocks the way how she laugh and pout while talking while Tzuyu is just laughing at their antics.

Jihyo on the other hand is patiently waiting for the elevator to open so they can go back to the practice room and finish their dance rehearsal so she can go back home and sleep.

She was patiently waiting and watching the chaos in front of her until she saw a glimpse of Y/N walking out of the elevator from the other side of the hall. She was surrounded by her three musketeers as they walk towards the exit.

Jihyo couldn't believe her eyes. It's the same girl that she asked for a coffee date because of her clumsiness in the cafè.

Nayeon on the other hand stopped talking and was shocked with who she saw. It was exactly the same girl Sana bumped with the other night. She is beyond surprise for seeing Y/N walking in the company, the same company where they're working. This hit her curiosity, "What is she doing here?" She thought.

The 7 other girls are too busy in their own businesses when Jihyo suddenly shouted startling them.

"Hey Y/N-ssi!" She called her as she jog towards them. She caught her attention and Y/N was obviously surprised seeing her here.

"Oh, Hi there Jihyo-ssi" She replied waving her left hand. Minato, given his protective instincts immediately grabbed her shoulder "Empress..." He whispered.

Y/n eyed him giving him  an assuring look that's it's okay and she knows the latter. He simply nod his head and let go of his grip.

She looked back at Jihyo who is now infront of her. "Hey what are you doing here?" the older one asked

She's hesitating whether she'll tell her or not, "Well, hmm... business purposes" she replied with a smile.

"Really? That's awesome then, such a coincidence. Well.. you still remember my request earlier right?" She's a bit shy for being too nosy but she can't hide the fact that she's really looking forward for their little coffee date.

It slipped Y/n but she can't just say it so instead she answered "Yes, of course."

Jihyo beamed her gummy smile "Great! Then are you free later let's say after an hour? We're almost done with the practice we'll just discuss some stuffs and wrap up" she replied while pointing to her members who are now watching them.

"They seem pretty close-- how-- I mean maybe they know each other?" Nayeon thought.

Sana's jaw dropped the moment she saw who Jihyo was talking to, she's mentally screaming as her mind goes haywire. Battling whether she'll run or act as if she doesn't remember her. "Oh.my.god.!!!! That's her?! Ahhhhh! What if she noticed me and remembered my dumbness" she thought.

Momo watched Jihyo as she converse with Y/n. She have a playful smirk in her face, eyeing the girl from head to toe "And look who's here-- she's definitely hot and gorgeous now that I can see her clearly" 

"Oh w-well..." She looked at the three asking for help on what she should answer,

Zain immediately picked up what her boss wanted and said "We still have a couple of schedule to finish Y/n" giving her a warm smile. She nodded in response. "I guess still have some stuffs to finish. I'm sorry Jihyo-ssi" She said giving Jihyo an apologetic smile.

Jihyo tried to hide her disappointment with a warm smile "Don't worry it's fine. I can wait till you finish your schedule or maybe you can just call me whenever you're free."

"Can I have your number instead? I-I mean j-just if it's okay so we can t-talk about our schedules?" Jihyo was stuttering and she don't even know where she got the confidence to ask her that way.

Minato is tugging Y/n's coat at the back signaling her to decline which the latter ignored.

"Yeah sure, here" she handed her personal calling card to Jihyo ignoring  the heavy sighs from his boys.

"Thank you!" Jihyo giggled.

"We have to get going now Y/n" Zain said. Y/n nodded in agreement and bid her goodbye to Jihyo who is now smiling from ears to ears.

Jihyo watched them walk away and squealed when she's out of sight. "I got her number wahhhh!~ 진짜 ~"

She went back to her members who have an unreadable expressions drawn in their faces. They were looking at her weirdly. Maybe because this is their first time seeing their leader like this.

"Who's that unnie?" Cub asked her. "You seem so gooey after talking to her unnie" Dahyun added wiggling her eyebrows.

"H-ha? Oh she's a friend." She simply replied still with a huge grin.

A playful smirk tugged on Jeongyeon's lips "Really? Why didn't you introduce her to us?" she asked anticipating a reply from Jihyo.

"Well she seems in a hurry, maybe next time?" Jihyo calmly responded hiding the fact that she's now feeling nervous all of a sudden.

"Hm, okay. Let's get back in the practice room now." Tzuyu said entering the elevator and the rest immediately followed.

Timeskip

Twice is now on their way back to their dorm. Today was somehow exhausting but manageable. They finished polishing their comeback choreo, finalizing all the points that needs alteration. Now all that's left to do is to memorize it and focus on their synchronization.

The ride back to their dorm was silent. Almost everyone dozed off right away after the van started moving. The school meal club is sleeping at the furthest backseat of the first van. In the middle, Mina is leaning her head on Jeongyeon's shoulder while they sleep.

On the other van, Nayeon and Momo is at the furthest backseat both sleeping peacefully. Sana and Jihyo is in the middle row where Jihyo is leaning in the car window for support while she tries to fight herself from sleeping knowing she'll end up with a big headache later on if she failed.

Sana on the other hand is uneasy. She keep on fidgeting on her seat. She's too preoccupied with her thoughts thinking about the girl that she saw in the company.

Here she is again, thinking about that stranger and digging her mind for any memory about where and when they've met before. She's so sure that they've seen each other but she just can't point it's time and place.

She can't help but heave a sigh because she really can't think of any clues about that girl. All she knows is she's familiar with her and she reminds her of someone from her blurry memories years ago.

She looked at her members realizing that she's the only one awake. She giggled after hearing light snore from Momo.

She watched the city lights pass by when she suddenly remember what happened earlier.

Her curiosity grew even more after learning that the girl who's been invading her thoughts is a "friend" of Jihyo.

"Who are you?" She whispered
