Chapter 31 ☀️🌊

Third Person's POV

The hot sunny breeze warms their late afternoon at the beach, the girl's are enjoying every bits of sunlight and salt water they can have today. Playing around the water and at the white sand surely gives them pure joy.

Jihyo sits under the shade of a coconut tree. She watches her members playing around. She felt a wave of satisfaction within her, seeing the girls so carefree like this. Her heart swells seeing her member like this and how she could only wish they'll stay like this for the rest of their lifetime.

She smiles at the sight of y/n and the girls. Y/n is chasing Chaeyoung and Dahyun while she laughs heartily. Tzuyu playfully kicking the sandcastle that the other two maknae made when they stumbled on hers. Jeongyeon laughing at how the two screams for help when y/n caught and pulled them towards the water.

"It's the first genuine one I've seen since forever." Alex said beside her.

She was startled with his sudden appearance but didn't fail to notice the smile on his lips as he watch their empress running around with the brightest smile they've ever seen.

"How I wish she won't lost that smile again Jihyo-ssi, I've never seen her so happy till we meet your group. You girls make her happy." He added

"She makes us happy too." Jihyo replied shortly, watching how her members laughs at y/n and the maknaes antics.

Alex didn't reply, he heaved a heavy sigh remembering that all this laughter and fun will be cut short in a matter of time, because as much as he hates it, Y/n's world wasn't made with rainbows and sunshines. He can only wish for time to slows down at least a little, Only if the universe would be kind enough, then maybe, just maybe, The happiness that he sees in Y/n's eyes can stay a little longer.

"Jihyonnie! Come here!" Y/n called her at the top of her lungs with a huge grin on her face.

Jihyo didn't have to be told twice, she jog towards y/n and joined the girls as they play around the salt water, laughing at how the maknaes pull pranks towards each other.

They continued playing around until momo's stomach growled in hunger. She sheepishly smiles at the girls saying "I guess it's time for lunch then?"

"Yeah, I felt exhausted chasing midgets" Y/n replied

"And we're hungry as well running away from two giant babies" Dubchaeng said, sticking their tongue out towards Tzuyu and y/n who mimics their faces.

"Last one to get at the cottage will clean up the dishes!~" Jeongyeon shouted before hurrying towards the hut. It didn't take long for the girls to run after her while they whine on how unfair it is when she already started running before shouting.

"Yah! Yoo Jeongyeon!~" Nayeon runs after her which was immediately followed by the maknaes with Momo tailing behind them.

"Definitely not gonna wash dishes for 10 people today." Jihyo said running after the girls with Mina hurriedly tailing behind her.

"Yah! that's not fair!~" Mina whines uncharacteristically that earns giggles from the girls.

Y/n simply watch them run away, she giggles at the sight of the Nayeon smacking Jeongyeon while she complains. A pair of strong yet soft arms wrapped around her waist from the back. The smell of vanilla and cherries engulfs her in warmth that she didn't have to see who it is to know who's hugging her from behind.

"Penny for your thoughts baby girl?" Sana said softly.

She was carefully watching y/n since earlier. She knows for sure that y/n's enjoying her time with the girls but something in her eyes hints a glint of worry and sadness. She saw how y/n laughed heartily while she chase Dahyun and Chaeyoung earlier but a flash of sadness passed through her eyes for a while in between her laughter that Sana didn't fail to notice.
