Chapter 6.

"Grandma, you and Aunt Rosa should sleep here. I'll assign rooms to the others." Nel hugged her Grandma for her to calm down and let the others go out before her. She smiled at the both of them before she left the room.

Everyone got outside the room waiting for Nellyda to give them a room knowing fully well that she had lived here long enough to order them around this house. So it didn't bother them that much.

"Victor, Daniella. You guys should go to that room. You guys will have to sleep together since your siblings." Nellyda pointed to the room just at the extreme end of the corridor. They just turned around and left the group.

"Don't forget to have a bath. There are extra clothes available in the wardrobe." She quickly told them before they disappeared behind the doors of their room. Nel didn't expect any response from them but they nodded and shut the door behind them.

"Patty, Miley. Go that way." Nel pointed at the room nearest to the stairs. They nodded and walked away.

Six left...

"Mike, Tyler. Go to the room next to Patty's room." These two didn't even spare her a glance, like she'd done something wrong to them. They just walked away. She huffed and turned to the last two boys.

"Kane, Daniel..." She began but Kane stopped her midway. She was shocked but she didn't know why.

"Go to the room next to Grandma's. We know, Mom." He mimicked her in his first sentence and chuckled at the last. He wanted to ease her tension a little bit and he succeeded. She didn't take it offensive because she needed it.

"Yes, that's what I wanted to say. So go." She tried so hard to fight the smile creeping on her face not because there were other people around but because she didn't want him to see how much of an effect he has made on her. She forgot completely that it was only remaining her and Alexis until she snapped her out of it.

"Umh, Nel. We're in that room, right?" She pointed to the room behind them. The last one to be occupied. And Nel quickly nodded.

"YYeah." She came out of her trance and opened the door to their room. Then switched on the lights. The room was still neatly arranged like the last time she left it. This was her glorious room in her Grandma's house.

"Go and have a bath first. I obviously had a bath this morning." Nel quickly told the girl. "There should be some extra clothes in the wardrobe." She said and went back to the stairs to get her pink trolley box. She dragged it into the room and dumped it just next to the wardrobe. She suddenly felt hot and decided to open the windows but the sight that met her on the street made her tear it shut.

Holy cow! Carnage!

Nel instantly resolved to switching on the fan then stopped the rotation so it was only fanning her and not Lexi when she steps out of the bathroom.

She plopped down on the bed reading 'Upside Of Falling' by Alex Light on Wattpad. She had already gotten to the part where Becca thought that Brett was cheating on her with his mom. Can't blame her anyway. He didn't let her see who was in the apartment. Crazy Brett. Love him anyway.

Alexis stepped out of the bathroom with fresher and cleaner clothes while she went in with her pj's and a towel from her box.
She showered quickly and got out facing the bathroom mirror. She looked at her reflection and instantly thought back to Kane.

Kane actually thinks I'm spicy.

To her, it sounded so good to think and say but it was best when Kane said it. It made her heart do a back flip millions of times. She sighed dreamily with a smile on and left the bathroom after composing herself.
