"Soo... We're having... whatever we're having." Rosa slapped a whole packaged chicken onto the kitchen counter as she spoke, deliberately making noise.
No one came downstairs till twelve noon as 'Muzan' instructed. At least they didn't hate Nel to the extent of thumping down the stairs just to get her killed by that demon king.
Right then, they were deciding on what to cook. Though it needed to do with flesh - as Grandmother ordered, they didn't know if he was a picky eater. And of course, none of them wanted to die cuz they didn't know what to cook.
"Chicken salad. I'm sure Lily will love it." Mikey dragged his words and draped his hands over Nellyda, dragging her to his side.
"But I won't love it if you're the one who says so." She hissed and pushed him away like he was old socks. Then rolled her eyes as she folded her arms in a menacing way.
Anyway, they got to work. The females did most of the cooking while the boys... the boys took turns to wash the used cutleries cuz... that's what they're good at. Imagine, Kane couldn't simply slice an onion.
They were almost done. So Nel, Alexis and Patty went to set the table. With the cloth and plates, they found their way to the bigger dining room where her grandmother granted the most hospitable services to her most welcome of guests, of course if they were so large a number.
The hall could only sit fourteen people, six opposite each other and the other two at the curved edges, also opposite each other. It definitely won't be full to capacity. Just short of one person.
Alexis was the first to go in but she stumbled back in utter fright, pushing the other girls out of the room with a shriek.
"What the... Why... God!" She breathed, bemused by what she just saw, who she just saw.
"What happened? You stepped on my toe." Patty scowled at the other girl with puckered lips. Alexis gave her a short glance before looking over at Nel.
"You caused this." She pointed in the direction of the door and looked at her with furrowed brows. Nellyda squinted at her in confusion and approached the door. She slowly pushed it open and peeped inside. Then she gasped and shut the door with really wide eyes.
How did he get in?
She took really deep breaths to be really sure she wasn't hallucinating. She closed her eyes and opened them again with a courageous gleam in them and pushed the door open.
There 'Muzan' was, sitting like a Prince in a house that wasn't his own. The windows were closed. How come no one saw him come in through the door?
"You all were busy. I didn't see the need to make my presence known." He said without an emotion but Nel could see it. He was happy to be there.
She looked up at him squarely and nodded.Yeah.
But you saw the need to be creepy and materialize yourself in someone's dining room. Smart ass.
"Sorry." He pursed his lips in a thin line and Nel looked up at him, now in surprise. She was sure she didn't say a thing. But she nodded anyway, for courtesy sake.
One very surprising feature she noticed on 'Muzan' was the little smile, yes, always took her by surprise. And his hair, she wanted to beat him, that perfect shiny black hair. 'Muzan' had trimmed his hair and no longer carried it in a ponytail. Instead, it...
Wait a minuite...
It's styled just like Kane's!
...And that says a lot 'Muzan'.
