"How do you know she still in the city?" He looked more interested than when Xavier walked in looking somewhat determined.
"Cuz her... friend says so. And I think I know who her father is." Xavier was finally relieved that Gerald had given him his full attention, if not, he'd be talking to a stone.
And then, it was cringe of him to say friend. So much for having another being."What does her father have to do with it? What if he's like Micael. That crow in the bar that know nothing happening around him. You'll just be wasting precious time." Gerald mused and continued looking through some of the papers on his desk.
Xavier always wondered what all those papers were. He did ask Gerald about them once but he made it clear to stay clear off those documents. He didn't think it fair to be stubborn. He also had his secrets. So he obeyed.
"I think you're right, Jewels." He said as he thought deeply.
For her to go to Yola first.
She was probably conflicted on where to go.
"So, how am I going to find her? I know no one related to her." Xavier sulked in the couch opposite Gerald's table.
Ever since Gerald fed him with the thought of being 'in love' with Nel, he's been having terrible mood swings and anger issues. Not particularly anger issues. More like irritation issues.
Like now that he's currently irritated by the colour of the tiles on the floor and the length of his fingers."Sir. Someone wants to see you." His secretary barged and spoke like the nuisance she was. Xavier always got irritated by her. And now he has 'irritation issues', he wanted to rip her limbs apart.
"Who? And with that tone of voice?" Gerald looked up at her and cocked an eyebrow.
"That new receptionist..." She snickered and Gerald shot her a deadly glare as he started arranging his messy desk.
"Next time you regard another of your colleagues with that tone, I'll teach you a terrible lesson." Gerald spoke like he was going to kill her but she was so stupid to think he was talking of punishing her in that way.
"He doesn't think like you, bitch. Please let Martha in." Xavier gave her a deranged smile and Gerald didn't give a damn about the fact that Xavier just called someone a bitch. He was so concerned about the state of his table and the impression of himself he would leave on Martha.
"I was just gonna do that." She pursed her lips angrily and walked away. Xavi scoffed.
Bitch.
"Gera... Oh, I didn't think you had company and you also look busy. So maybe I'll come back another time and..." She was so flustered to see Xavier in the office so she started to leave hurriedly.
"Wait, Martha." Gerald almost bounced off his chair but he knew he needed to keep his cool. And he was glad he was sane enough to do so.
"Y-Yes Gerald." She stood with her eyes wide open, and with her glasses, she looked like a nerd. But Gerald found it adorably amusing and cute. She was a pretty hot nerd alright.
"I let you in cuz my guest wasn't so important." Gerald said as Xavier adored how he was able to keep calm. Not until he comprehended what he said.
"You don't know how important I am, Jewels. Once you do what I asked you to. She's here now." Xavier smirked. He initially wanted to say something else but he held himself and changed the subject to avoid unwanted questions.
Martha raised a brow and looked between the two. Gerald avoided it and pointed at the chair in front of his desk for her to sit.
"No. I don't need to sit. It's just a short... information." She said and stood behind the chair instead. Gerald nodded and started biting on his nails. Xavier clicked his tongue in annoyance at that one action. Gerald was nervous. And he needed help.
