Nellyda looked from the crumpled up peice of paper that had the address to the building nervously. It was a gray duplex and it really wasn't lively. It was rather dreary and mysterious.

"Are you okay?" Kane asked her with a creased forehead and a worried smile. She nodded frantically with a lopsided smile and they both walked through the black gates.

She knocked on the door but only an eerie silence answered her. They looked at themselves like they were speaking telepathically and Kane stretched his hand to open the door. They hesitantly walked into the dimly lit corridor and into a small but spacious living room.

"I knew you would be coming but I didn't think it would be so soon." The man sat still in the sofa facing them and twirling a glass of something... blood. She could smell it. But she didn't react mostly because she saw him as an animal. A cannibal.

"I came to ask some questions, father." She walked closer with Kane tailing behind her.

"About Xavier Royale." The man dropped the cup on the arm of the sofa and finally looked up at them with nothing in his eyes. He looked like a statue. And that added to the fear in them when he said Xavier Royale.

Both of them gulped in horrifying astonishment. How did he know what they wanted when he's always probably in this house?

"Yes, J.K." Nellyda said like she wasn't afraid of what this man was always silently processing in his brain. He could suddenly just stand up and leave them for no reason.

"You still regard me with the family trend. N.K, M.K, J.K. Where's A.K anyway?" He asked with a sweet, icy, sugary voice that held no emotions and Nel was getting weary of him.

"None of your business. She can do whatever she wants to." Nel retorted, past anger and resentment finding it way to the present. A.K, Adeline King, was her mother. When her and M.K grew older she moved to start a fashion line of her own just to forget the method in which this man left them. Without an explanation and only an adress.

Kane instinctively held her hand to calm her down. He finally saw what was in the cup the man held and he was shaken completely. He was set to run away.

"Okay. Now, tell your fake boyfriend to get out. What I'm about to discuss with you will not need ears other than yours." He changed the subject quickly. Kane widened her eyes and looked down at her, obviously protesting.

"Go Kane. He's my father. He won't actually do anything to me." She brushed his arm lightly to calm him down and nodded for him to leave. She also believed that the information was not for someone like Kane. She felt involved. Too involved.
He pursed his lips before reluctantly vacating the room.

"Your grandmother is still feeding you that liquid. You can't work with your energies yet." He said with the same sweet sugary voice as he emptied the cup and looked at her. She sat down with confusion in her countenance.

"What are you talking about?" She asked with furrowed brows and he looked at her plainly.

"It should have worn off by now and you should be resistant to it. Don't you feel inhumane strength, energy surging through you? Don't you feel like you know more than you do? Don't you... ever listen to people's thoughts?" As he spoke, he's gaze grew more piercing and Nel started to worry.

All these he's mentioned were actually happening... But her grandmother was countering it, giving excuses for every occurrence. Even Xavier.

She looked daringly at his soma for him to stop beating about the bush and he scoffed.

"You're from the royal line... of demons." He said and studied her carefully to gauge her reaction.

Nel breathed sharply and widened her eyes with creased brows. She stood up abruptly and looked at him carefully. Was this why she felt too involved?

Has he finally gone mad?

"What the fuck are you saying, old man? You've finally gone crazy, huhn? And you're what? The Prince?" She shouted at him.

"Yes. I am the crowned Prince. You see, the blood I was drinking was not because I am a cannibal as you thought of. It's because I feel like I'm slowly losing energies. You wouldn't feel it that much though. You just..." She tried explaining to her but she shut him up.

"Shut up. Just shut up, freak. Xavier would have told me if it was true." She looked at herself and everywhere but him. Jerome cocked a brow.

"Xavier? What if my mother charged him not to say anything? He still listens to her after all. Both of you have gotten quite close." He ignored the fact that she called him a freak and caused the bottle in front of him to pour more blood into the cup. She just stood there in silence.

"Xavier got into a car accident. The demon lord summoned his soul and he was forced to become a demon. He's my mother's personal guard, most cherished guard..." He scoffed and drank from the cup. "...but I don't know. Some time last week there was some kind of war. I dunno for what reason." He said and wondered if she was listening to him at all.

She looked pale as she gazed hard at the floor beneath her. Why did her whole life turn around like this? What did she ever do to the world?

"And that's about it. You killed two birds with one stone. You know Xavier Royale to an extent and... you know exactly what you are." He said with his icy sweet voice and Nel stood like she was paralyzed.

All the information, she couldn't take it in. What was she supposed to do?

What of M.K?

Is she a demon too?

"No, she's not a demon. You're mother isn't one so she isn't. Only the non demon parents and their first borns aren't demons. Though A.K is half demon actually." He said plainly and stood from his sitting position. Nel looked up at him.

What is he thinking now?

"You shouldn't have left where you're coming from. Your captor might just go on a rampage. And don't let that fake boyfriend of yours go with you near any place that has to do with the demons. He might just pass out." He said and left to go up the stairs. He expected her to leave immediately but she took a while longer.

Nel thought hard about what he said about A.K and M.K. Her mother's antigens were able to destroy demon genes for M.K but couldn't do it for her. That was the only reasonable, scientific explanation for it.

And Xavier 'Royale'? Why would a guard suddenly go against his so called queen? Wait...

What of grandfather?

He's meant to be king.

But Xavier 'Is' the demon king!

She groaned out loud and kicked the table in front of her to break. And it did break... She was stronger than she was when she stopped taking that bottled liquid every month.
Her grand mother said it was because of some hereditary illness. She didn't say anything about this.

Grandfather.
