Xavier opened the doors to his house and lazily plopped down on the closest couch. It was a long day with a lot of mixed feelings. All the while, he was thinking about Nel cuz he probably had nothing else to think about aside from the kingdom he now rules in a way. But why though? Why was it thoughts of her occupying his mind?

"Hey man. How did lunch go at Yolanda's?" Benjamin plopped down beside him with with a grunt.
Ben had brown hair and blue eyes and a really good physique Xavier loved but will never admit it. Never in hell.

"Nothing much happened. Just eating." He said casually and leaned back to rest his head on the head rest.

"Well, I've got good news for you..." Benji was talking. But Xavi couldn't concentrate cuz he already had something to think about. Nel.

He already had a thing against brunettes cuz of the freak sitting beside him. But he was gonna make an exception.
Everything she said made him to regret the day he got into that accident. He should have been a lot more careful. He should have stayed a little longer.
But again, if he hadn't gone through all that, he won't have been able to meet her. She let him smile without being afraid of him. That's what he ever wanted.

"You crow, you're not listening." Benji snapped at him and flicked his head.

"What?" Xavier deadpanned and hissed. This freak always had the worst timing. He'll set his brain right when it gets to his nerves.

"You're thinking about some messed up shit and you're ignoring me." Benji mused and pointed at himself like Xavier had committed a grave offence against him. Xavi rolled his eyes.

He thinks he's so important.

"I'm gonna remind you like a doting big brother would. We both hear each other's thoughts. Get used to it." Ben said in a really serious tone and leaned back in the couch.
He was right. Xavier had to get used to letting all his grudges out.

Yeah.

Right.

"So... what was that all about a brunette you're making an exception? Xavi is now a big boy, huhn?" Benji wiggled his brows and Xavier looked at him like he was mental. This was not the behaviour of a doting big brother. This was the behaviour of an overly persistent mother.

And why should I tell you?

"Because... we are friends, buddy. Your business is my business." Ben nudged him and chuckled like they had some inside joke Xavi didn't know of.

You wish.

"Okay. You didn't need to make it that painful." Ben creased his brows and rolled his eyes.

Benjamin was also a demon too. But there was a difference. Ben was a guard demon. Xavier was demon king. And Xavier didn't need friends. It's only been three months and that was not enough time for him to make friends. Infact, Xavier didn't like having friends for fear of being too attached and getting too hurt when they eventually left him.

"As I was saying before you zoned me out. I'm leaving for Mexico to chill, and I won't be back for a long time. Sure you can do without me?" Ben said. It was like there was some weight lifted off Xavi's shoulders.

Definitely.

I can hardly wait.

"Not the reaction I was expecting." Ben squinted at him and folded his arms.

"Can I say something else?" Ben looked over at Xavi and he gave him a piercing stare.

If it won't cause you harm...
You can go on.
