TW: Blood- Death
Mer's POV
I remember the first day of seventh grade.
I was one of the first kids in the bus. Other students still on the walkway.
The bus driver had leaned down to get something.
When it happened.
Suddenly, the students on the walkway were moving. Slowly.
Never mind, it was the bus.
I had no idea what I was supposed to do.
A teacher had to tell the bus driver to stop the bus.
I kind of wish he didn't.
Wish that the bus had ran into something and made me at least hurt.
I never thought I would have something like that happen again.
The car was coming towards me and full speed.
It's horn honking and lights flashing.
I didn't move.
My feet were stuck to the ground with bricks made out of my problems, my fears, my life.
The car shoved into me and I could feel my ribs break. I was running out of breath and oxygen. But I didn't fight it. I let whatever the darkness was take me out.
There was some brightness. And I know I shouldn't go near it, but it was so warm. I'm so cold.
I walk into it, but I got pulled back. I turned around.
There was a girl on the ground. I could hardly recognize her. I had seen her every day in the mirror, but she still looked unhealthy, not including the injuries.
Blood was all over her, she looked dead. That is me.
As I looked around more, I realized that I'm in a ditch. I was surrounded by trees. The car must have thrown me in here.
But it's so cold. It's dark. There is no way anyone will find me.
I began to walk towards the oh so warm light, only to get pulled back once again.
There has to be some reason that I'm not dying. Some reason I don't get the thing I have wanted since I was shot.
I walked around and out of the ditch my unconscious body lay in, there was paramedics and police guards everywhere.
I realized when a little girl came up to me, she could see me. But, no one else saw.
She tried clapping and I didn't understand why, until I realized she was trying to catch me.
"Buhfly" She babbled.
Im a butterfly.
I went back to my body when I heard sticks cracking, I turned around to see the little girl.
When she saw my body, she screamed. And who I'm assuming her mother is came into the creek.
She grabbed her daughter and left screaming "SHE'S IN THE CREEK!"
I didn't know why they were referring me as "she". The only thing I could think of was they must have been looking for me.
I walked towards the warm light once again, I was able to walk further but I still got pushed back afterwards.
I'm dying.
A paramedic came and moved my body to a stretcher.
I then could feel every broken bone in my body and the blood trickling down it too. I must be awake.
But I can't talk. I tried.
I was shaking and breathing something awful though.
"Calm down, we're going to get you some help."
I looked into the paramedics eyes, with a panicked expression.
"She has a phone number in her pocket." Another paramedic replied.
"Get her in the truck and let's go!"
I mentally screamed when I was put into the ambulance.
"Call the number."
My vision blurred and I went into unconsciousness once again.
