( You Pov )

I wasn't expecting Edward to go with me let alone him being the only one going. "Ready ," he asked. "I'd like to see Renesmee before we go," I admitted. I didn't know how long we would be gone, and it already felt like I've gone long enough without seeing her. Edward's lips tighten but he nods. Renesmee practically ran into my arms. I caught her being as careful with her like delicate glass. Being around her was effortless, but everyone was so cautious about the newborn being around available blood. All eyes examined my every movement when I was with her. She touched my cheek showing me as I was human disappearing. Then me as I was now but my eyes turning a vivid red, disappearing but never reappearing. It seemed to ask ," your not leaving with them yet are you?" "No," I stroke her hair ," I'm just gonna meet some of grandpa Carlisle's friend's." Her little shoulders seemed to relax but she seemed to demand she go to. I look to Edward a bit nervous. He might know who we are meeting but I didn't. I had no clue if she'd be safe, and she needed to be. I could hear and feel Jacob walk up to us. His mind in outrage , unwilling for her to go unprotected. Even now he wanted her out of my arms despite the many times I've already proved I was no threat. Mentally it was exhausting hearing their misgivings. I had no clue how Edward did it. "I don't know how they would perceive you, " Edward cautioned," let alone Renesmee at the same time." "So leave us in the car," Jacob glared ," don't you have enough of a freak show to protect us all." I couldn't help my cringe, it was just the cherry on the top. Renesmee leans into me, trying to soothe and comfort me seeming to know it had cut deep. Edward hadn't missed it either and opened his mouth to speak. "Careful what you say around her," my eyes flickered down to Renesmee," or the "freak show" as you call me." Edward nearly snarled in agreement. For some reason I was touched, all this time I had started to feel lonely. Yes I knew their mistrust was mostly coming from the unpredictable side of being a newborn. No matter Alice's reassurances due to my abilities the others no longer trusted Alice's abilities to give them fair warning. It's not every day someone would stand up for me is all I'm saying. "We can take them both," I nod to Edward," I see no problem with that." He looked at me with almost disbelief. 

( Edward Pov )

When she had said that I was taken aback at how sure she sounded. So sure she almost sounded like Alice when she had visions. Turns out she could see Jacob and Renesmee just fine since she was technically a half breed. Her genetic genes as we learned had only shifted partly. I saw evidence to that with Alice in the glimpses of her vision, and when (Y/n) had shifted into a wolf after the change. It was a miracle Alice even glimpsed her at all. Our meeting with Zafrina, Kachiri, and Senna went as smooth as butter. Renesmee was practically glued to Zafrina and her pretty pictures. They treated Jake as more of a pet. (Y/n) on the other hand shifted uncomfortably and I knew why. She felt she was using others to stock up her abilities for not only her own gain but for Aros. I take her hand leading her away from the others trusting our friends. "Edward," (Y/n) warned. I pin her to a tree far enough that the others wouldn't hear. "Stop that now," I try to catch her eyes. I found myself missing their original color. "What are we doing here," her eyes met mine ," this is only giving Aro more power." "Then don't show him this one," I stroke her cheek, unable to help myself ," use it when you really need it for your own protection." " I don't even know how to use it," she looked down. "Try," I tilt her chin back up. The scenery shifted almost sluggishly. When it finished her eyes locked with mine, her lips falling open. I rub her bottom lip with my thumb remembering the area. A deep buzzing in my being seemed to thoroughly link us. Our lips met in a passionate kiss, her arms wrapping around my neck. I was unable to keep my hands off her. (Y/n) let out a soft whimpering moan. " I did not need to see or hear that," Jake made a face. We broke apart in bewilderment. I had never been able to turn off my head since I had been turned. Being taken by surprise that way was a first in a very long long time. " Oh don't act so surprised, " Jake continued on ," Renesmee is hungry and they don't exactly have food." "Are you sure she isn't thirsty," I asked, pulling away from (Y/n) reluctantly.

My craving for him only grew, it physically hurt. Worse than the burn of thirst. Jake started to head back. Edward started to head after him. I try to follow, to will my legs forward. However something inside me roared at me. My wolf pawed at my chest pulling my attention to the reality that had been overlooked from the genetic change. He was mine, my imprinted mate… and it felt like he was slipping through my fingers. Suddenly the deal with Aro to be his slave for so long felt like agony. I rub my chest trying to put myself back in place. No matter how badly I wanted him , needed him more than air… things would only get harder…. especially if I had any more memories to torment me.
