It rains in her head
Rages and storms
All day and night
She is always forlorn
Huge tears of despair
Pour down her face
As she never stops running
Her internal race

I felt my defense up, when had it happened? How had I not realized voices played in my head? "Just nervous," I reply honestly ," last time I was alone with you and the others..." "I apologize," she turned to me ," I was doing as ordered. You don't have to worry about something like that happening again." "Forgive me if I'm still uneasy," I lift an eyebrow, " the memory of turning is the strongest for us." Jane nods, opening the door. Aro's face lit up in delight. "Dearest," Aro went to Jane, touching her hand lightly ," why don't you and your brother go and feed. Heidi is bringing in your favorite." Jane gave a pleased smile and looked at her brother. The two moved to greet each other when Aro stepped away. Aro held up a hand to Renata who reached for him. The word of what I could do clearly had spread through the guard. " I will not be needing your services dearest one," Aro assured her ," (Y/n) is now part of our family." He smiled proudly pulling out a dark robe. Matching Jane's and Alec's robes. I looked from the robe to the twins who were headed out. They seemed content to leave me alone. Of course they knew my deal with Aro, and that I would behave. Aro gestures for me to come close. Renata looked as if she wanted to speak up, but not deify her master. I move slowly for her benefit. I didn't need any more enemies. Aro carefully slipped the robe onto me. The skin of his hands avoided touching me. Keeping with our agreement even when he knew about the shield I had picked up. "Just your color," he sighed happily. "You had an urgent matter," I asked, trying to keep my calm. Feeling the baby moving with my discomfort I close the front of the robe as if testing the feel of it. Renata left the room at Aro's look. "I fear we are losing Marcus," Aro admitted ," you have been in contact with Jasper." He touched his finger tips together. Walking slowly in quiet invitation to follow. " He doesn't want to use our source to help his depression ," he sighed as if it pained him," I was thinking maybe Jaspers ability might be the thing he needs." "That requires constant efforts, " I informed him as I follow ,"I can only be so far from him before it stops working." "Yes," Aro agreed ," thats why I wanted you to start early." I didn't pay much attention to Marcus when I was here, but now that we walked in the direction of him I felt it. Felt his deep seeded sadness and grief. With that feeling came a withdraw need. "Was your sisters gift addictive," I ask my eyes shifting to Aro's back. "Not that I was aware of," Aro lead me into a lovely garden. Something here didn't feel right. Aro was hiding something about the whole situation. However my attention was pulled to Marcus under the tree. A tree that felt.... happy. Until Aro walked to Marcus. Reaching deep I project a calm tranquil atmosphere. Aros shoulders seemed to relax at the same time Marcus looked up. "Aro,"he frowns. I could feel the Marcus displeasure rise, but I kept it tampered down. "I don't want another to replace her," Marcus then looked to me. "I'm taken ," I inform him. "I just thought she could help ease your distress," Aro sighed softly ,"our mimic here is none addictive." "You," Marcus highlighted that one word ," can go." Ignoring them I slowly approach the tree. Reaching out to it as if it could reach back. "There is something special about this tree," I was genuinely curious. Marcus looked to the tree then back at me. I smile as new small branches grow to reach back out to me. "I guess she can stay," Marcus sighed. I could feel Aro's pleasure bloom. Taking a step back I look over to them. "Aro I must inform you of something, " I offer out my hand to him ," it is included in our deal and I rather only the two of you to know." I knew Edward would disprove. Not just him either, but basically the whole family. Aro moved a bit too quickly fueled by curiosity. Once again grateful that I controlled what he saw. Only allowing him to see my memory from earlier that I was pregnant. This time he wouldn't know I was using his own gift against him. Aro's eyes snapped up to my own before brushing my robe aside. The shirt's ruffles hide the slight bump, but now that he knew he wasn't fooled. "Aro," Marcus for once sounded more than dead. He sounded curious trying to move around him. "How is this possible, " Aro whispered. Marcus looked up to me as I touched his bare hand. Projecting what I had just showed Aro. Marcus's eyebrows lift in surprise. "You can understand if my mate and his family would like to check in ," I looked at Aro. "Yes," I didn't like that tone. I just hope the information I got from that touch was worth the risk to me and my baby. My eyes flick to Marcus before going back to Aro. It would be a matter of timing.
