Some stories are hard coming down.

I looked at her flat black eyes and knew that's how it would be.

And so it was.

Like hot ginger-scented lava

Words slowly spilled over her lips

And down her lap ,

Joining the twisting fingers she had trapped there

Words and fingers entangled 

Obscene in the metaphor they held 

And still her story ruptured,

Still hard coming down.

( Alice Pov )

Coming out of my vision my eyes meet my brothers. I knew he had seen what I had. Carlisle and Esme would run into Jane , Felix and three other members of the Volturi. They were coming, and they were coming early. I couldn't see then coming to the house, however I saw it was their intention to walk back with them. Edward slightly turned his head in the way only I knew as no. 'Edward we can't exactly keep it a secret if Jane decides to test her gift on (Y/n) ,' I think to him ,' the moment she uses it all she has to so is report it to Aro and their agreement crumbles.' "We'll hide her," Edward growled catching the the others attention. "Felix might be able to find her ," I warned him out loud ," keeping her from them will also raise suspicion." I could see him waring with himself as he held (Y/n) close. My frozen heart ached remembering Bella. How the Volturi haunted her till the very end. Would (Y/n)s only out be death as it had been for Bella? Was our luck just as bad? "I'll meet with them," (Y/n) spoke up," as far as they know I haven't lost anything." "Jane," Edward was about to start up. "Its about attitude, " (Y/n) moved from his arms ," she may not like me but she is still bound to the agreement." "You are going to bluff to the vampire verson of the cops," Jacob asked in disbelief. Renesmee pouted by his side since she wanted (Y/n) but Jacob was being over protective. I open my arms smiling. It would be my little gift to her to dress her and (Y/n). As of Jacob knew he tried to side step her. However Edward's next words distracted him. "The moment they realize they might as well go for the chink in our defense." "We cant exactly surround the party with wolves," Jasper, my mate stepped up ," it would be tipping out hand to early." "We don't have long," I warn picking up Renesmee," they should be meeting up within the hour." "Bluffing may be our only option at the moment," Jasper informed them ," if we take down the small group no doubt Aro will come full force when Jane doesn't report in." Edward picked up his phone to inform Carlisle and Esme. I waved (Y/n) to follow.

I ran my fingers gently through Renesmee's curls as Alice collected the items that she needed to do our makeovers. Rosalie walked in giving a lopsided smile. "Do you mind," she glanced to the open chair since Renesmee was on my lap. "You may," I give her a reassuring smile. She sat down looking in the direction of Alice. "No doubt she's in seventh heaven," she smiled back to us. The way she was trying to make small talk told me she had something to say. "Rose, " I sigh resting my head on Renesmees. "Please ," she frowned a bit ," please just promise me you will think of the baby?" "How can I not," I felt my eyes prick in the strangest way. Renesmee leans into me trying to calm me. No doubt she felt me becoming like stone under her. Soon she'd be to big to be picked up. With that fact the overwhelming feeling had a sound come from my lips. Rose moved careful of Renesmee, hugging me. I felt Alice join our little hug pile. "Somehow it will work out," Alice whispered as if she herself didn't know for sure. I gave a shy smile when they backed away breaking the hug. "Let's get ready," I suggested. Of course when I was starting to truly feel like part of the family the Volturi had to come and remind us all that I couldn't truly be a member. As long as I had something they wanted badly. 

Edward had Jake take Renesmee to la push. Apparently this would be a first that the Volturi would be coming into the house. So the rest of our family had been busy making it presentable. Alice had dressed me in a black shirt. Oh no not any regular shirt would do for Alice. She had put me on a top breast and arm form fitting shirt. With a decent v showing of a bit of cleavage. With ruffles flaring out under the first couple ribs to give me flaring our glass shape. The black pants where form fitted and caught on the right light caught glimmers of gold to match my changing eyes. Alice had added black open heels. The back heel facing the inner shoe was gold as the rest was black. On the top of the heels connecting to two black straps laid the matching gold curved strap. Curved so that it looked like a snakes crawling up my feet. It was clear she wanted to make me the focus of attention to the guard. However, taking attention away from my slightly immortal pregnant belly. Edward's tensing body was our first warning before looking up. "Jane is refusing to come any further," Edward got up," she won't jump the river." Edward looked at me , his brows creasing. We all didn't know the limits I had. I got up my newly styled hair having a healthy bounce. "Lets go to her then," for once I lead the way. It had been agreed they would have been suspicious if they would have led the strongest in the family. Edward kissed my hand before letting me jump. He jumped a couple seconds after me. I landed right in front of the Volturi. "Jane," I stood straight ," is there a reason for your early arrival." "Aro wishes to make another negotiation, " she informed me flatly. "He wishes for you to serve earlier than agreed," Edward informed me. He was only one step behind me. "What do I get if I do," I played bored. "Name something and I'll relay it," Jane pulled out a cell phone. They may line the old times but even the Volturi had to keep up with the times or be left behind. She hit call ," I have (Y/n) infront of me." "Dearest (Y/n)," Aros soft sigh came across the line as if pained to call on out deal sooner tham agreed ," I must apologize for the urgent need for your assistance. " Jane's eyes flicked to the phone as if expecting Aro to be there. "Aro ," I greet ," whats this about adding onto our deal." "I regret that I cannot keep the time frame of our agreed deal," he sighed ,"and as a penalty on my end I will allow something you want in return. Nothing else will change in our agreement." My eyes fell to the phone thinking. "I don't think there is anything more we want to ask for," Edward informed Aro. Aro sighed, " Jane my dear." He was about to order something. "Aro," I said slowly hearing Edwards jaw clench behind me," you nor any other mind reader cannot touch or relay any information from any and all under our agreement." "Is that all," Aro almost seemed delighted it would be that simple. "No harm is to be inflicted on (Y/n) while in your care," Edward added ," including from your own guard." "Why dearest Edward," Aro's tone became even more gentle ," why would we harm our newest member." Jane's eyes flick to me then to Edward. "He had a right to be a little over protective, " Alice buds in ," after all Aro you became protective of your mate after the incident." She was gentle in reminding and drawing attention away from Edwards over protection when I was supposed to be very strong. "That is true lovely Alice ," Aro sounded adoring as he addressed Alice. "If thats all master," Jane spoke up," shall we take her with us now or stay in the area a while." "I rather get it over with," I nod to Jane ," we still have to keep a low profile for my family over here." "Of course," he sounded more than delighted ," I shall see you when you get here. Jane if you will." Aro hung up while Jane put the phone away. "(Y/n)," Edward growled. I turn to my family smiling just a bit. I hug each member holding them tight. Carlisle kissed the top of my head. No doubt feeling as if losing yet another daughter. Esme joined holding me tight ," come back to us." I nod to them before turning to Alice and Jasper. "If you need some fashion advice," she slipped her card into my pants pocket before hugging me. She reluctantly let me go before Jasper surprised me with a bear hug I expected to come from Emmett. Clearly Emmett saw it as a challenge and hugged me after Jasper left me off my feet from under my arms. "Put me down," I gasp, patting his back. Rosalie rubs Emmett's back. The moment I was back on my feet I turned to Rose. Her eyes weren't as accusing as I thought. They looked sad but determined. I pulled her into a hug knowing this was hurting her as much as it was me. She'd lost what I hadn't. Yet here I was putting myself and my unborn child in danger. "I'll call when I'm settled," I promised. "You better," she backed up to look me in the eye ," we will all want updates." I smile before turning to Edward suddenly feeling shy. He'd let me say goodbye but he was up to something. I stroke his cheek before turning to go with Jane. Edward's arms pulled me back, kissing me senseless. " I look forward to seeing you again," Edward growled only for me. I felt my cheeks tingle since everyone there heard. There was no mistaking what he meant. He was letting me go , but I'd pay for it the next time I saw him. "Ready ,"Felix asked. I turn to go with them ," I assume clothes and other items will be provided?" "Of course ," Jane answered. Without another word I left with them. It wasn't till we got to Volterra did I realize something. It was so sudden I nearly gave myself away. "What is it," Jane asked, her eyes flashing to me stopping just outside a door I knew.
