Chapter 5.1 //:// Independence Day

It was morning of Independence Day. Nalini was ready already and had gone to Anubhav's room to check on him. She saw Anubhav sitting on the bed and his uniform infront of him. Nalini smiled at her brother.

Nalini: Kya soch rahe hai Bhaiya?

Anubhav: Soch rahe hai ki aaj itne dino baad hamara uniform pehnenge hum. Aaj pura ek mahina ho gaya. Sach kahe na toh uniform ke shaan ke baarein mein pehle hi pata tha hume par jab DSP ke taur par Desh ki seva karna shuru kiya tab pata chala ki Vardi ki baat hi kuch aur hai.

Nalini: Bilkul thik keh rahe hai aap Bhaiya. Vardi ki baat hi kuch aur hai. Ek baat kahe bhaiya, hum, Maa, Karishma aur aapki duty ke alava aapko kya pyaara hai?

Anubhav looked at her and smiled. He got off the bed and stood infront of the wardrobe. He pulled out a photo frame.

Anubhav ( smiling ): Aapne ye tasvir dekh li thi na Nalini?

Nalini: Akhir Negotiation Specialist ne pata laga hi liya!

Anubhav: Aapko pata hai jab hum pehli baar Hassena ji se mile the, tab hi hume yeh mehsus hua ki unme kuch toh alag baat hai jo hum na chahte hue bhi unki taraf khiche chale jate hai!

Nalini: Jab pyaar hota hai na Bhaiya, tab aaisa hi hota hai ( smiled ) Humne bhi kiya haina isiliye experience se bata rahe hai. Par aapko yeh nahi lagta ki voh aapke saath rahe hamesha?

Anubhav: Lagta toh hai Nalini. Par unka faisla aur khushi humse dur rehna hi hai. Aur humne jo unke saath kiya hai, uske baad hume nahi lagta ki unhe hume maaf karna chahiye. Hum unki yadon ke saath reh lenge.

Nalini: Bhaiya par Apki khushi ka kya jo unke saath rehne mein hai?

Anubhav smiled and shook his head.

Anubhav: kisne kaha ki hum unke saath nahi hai? Hum toh unke saath hi hai. Voh khush rahe isme hamari khushi bhi hai.

Nalini gave him a tight hug maybe to calm their hearts.

Nalini: Hume aap par bohot garv hai ki hum aapki behen hai.

Anubhav: Hume bhi ( kissing her forehead ) Aap bohot himmat vali hai Behna. Do saal pehle jo bhi hua uske baad bhi itni majboot tarike se aapne aap ko sambhala hai. Sach kahe toh lagta hai hum acchhe bhai nahi hai Nalini. Humne aapko kabhi voh khushiyan nahi di jo ek bhai ko aapni behen ko deni chahiye.

Nalini: Nahi bhaiya! Aaisa nahi hai. Aap bohot acche bhai hai. Iss sab mein shayad hamari hi galti thi. Par hum voh sab piche chod chuke hai aap bhi chod dijiye, aur aapne baarein mein sochiye ki kaise karna hai sab kuch? ( Chuckled )

Anubhav ( confused ): Kya karna hai hume?

Nalini ( teasing smile ): Miss. Hassena Mallik ko hamari bhabhi banana hai bhaiya!

Anubhav ( a bit loudly ): Yeh nahi ho sakta Behna, aap samajh kyu nahi rahi?

Nalini: Hum sab kuch thik kar denge, hamara vada hai. Aab chaliye aur taiyar ho jaye, hume Headquarters jane ke liye late ho raha hai. Aaj toh uss Ramesh ko aaisa pakdenge ki ainda kabhi chut hi nahi payenga.

Anubhav: Ji! Hume aapke upar pura bharosa hai.

They both get ready and left for Headquarters

Entire MPT team members were at Headquarters but Karishma and Hassena were missing.

Santosh: Kya kamal ka decoration hai na Pushpe!

Pushpa ji: Ha Santu, baat toh sahi kahi hai tumne. Lagta hai iss saal bohot kharcha kiya hai department ne.

Cheeta: Lekin, hamara kismat toh dekhiye na Pushpa ji, hum yaha par apradhi ko pakadne aye hai. Swatantra Diwas ke din bhi shanti nahi hai. Humne socha tha iss saal Swatantra Diwas bohot acche se manayenge!

Karishma arrived there and stood beside Cheeta.

Karishma: Baat toh tum sahi keh rahe ho Cheete. Yeh Nalini madam ko bhi hume shanti se baitha dekha nahi jata na!

Pushpa ji: Aap aaisa kahe keh rahi hau? Unki baat toh saahi hai na? Voh toh baas aapni duty kar rahi hai. ( Taunting ) Aapse toh kabhi ho nahi payi!

Karishma: Nahi matlab ka dikkat hai aapko humse. Jab dekho tab haath doh kar piche padi rehti hai?

Pushpa ji: Hum piche padte hai aapke?

Hassena arrived at the same time.

Hassena ( scolding ): Are baas kijiye aap dono! Jab dekho tab ladti rehti hai. Kabhi toh jagah Aur vakt dekh liya kijiye. Hum yaha par nazar rakhne aye hai uss apradhi ko pakadna hai. Agar aap aaise hi aapni baaton mein busy rahi toh voh hamare haaton se nikal jayenge. Vaise bhi bada sanki aadmi lagta hai hume. Ma'am ne bataya tha hume.

Pushpa ji and Karishma: Sorry Madam!

All guests and officers were arrived. Aarti and Akash were also present there. Flag hosting was to be done when a man in civil dress climbed the stage fired a bullet in the air. All were alerted. All took the position. Hassena was beside Anubhav and Nalini downstage. It was the same person Ramesh.

Ramesh: Jo jaha hai vahi khada rahe. Kisine bhi hilne ki koshish ki toh yeh Police Headquarters smashan bhoomi ban jaegi!

The trio ( Hassena, Anubhav, Nalini ) were in corner. Anubhav tried removing the gun and it was unfortunately noticed by Ramesh. He fired at Anubhav but Hassena pulled him at the right time. They both collided with wall. In the meantime, the police grabbed Ramesh and took the gun from him.

Hassena's one hand was clutching his one shoulder and Anubhav's one hand was on Hassena's waist. They had an amazing eye lock. Their closeness was affecting them. They leaned in. But, soon the commotion brought them back to reality. They jerked apart.

Anubhav ( nervously ): Dhanyawad... Hamara kehne ka arth hai kshama kijiye hume.

Their was firing going on. The people Ramesh had in his gang were firing at Police officers. All were firing from their respective hide points. Coincidentally, Karishma and Nalini were very near to each other.

One bullet hit Nalini arm and gun fell from her hand. She winched in pain. She tried to cover the wound but the blood flow increased. Karishma noticed it and stopped firing. She carefully approached Nalini.

Karishma ( Concerned ): Madam, aapke haath mein toh goli lagi hai. Kitna khoon beh raha hai.

Nalini: Hum thik hai Karishma. Aap fire back kijiye. Plan ke hisab se hi saab kuch hona chahiye.

Karishma: Par aap?

Nalini: Hum thik hai, aap continue kijiye.

She took out her handkerchief and was trying to tied it around her arm but she wasn't able to as the bullet had hit on her right arm and she was right handed.

Karishma noticed and helped her out. Nalini smiled at her but Karishma just gave a formal look. Nalini felt a little bad. No matter how much she tell others that Karishma's cold behaviour doesn't bother her but it bother her a lot because after all they were sisters.

Soon they were successful in catching the criminals. But, their was a blast.....
