Chapter 1.1 //:// The Conversations

Three days earlier,

Hassena was working on the files which she needed to complete before evening. She was having severe headache from past three days. She knew she can't take leave because she needed to complete the file.

Meanwhile outside, everyone were working with dedication. They knew the condition Hassena was in so they didn't have courage to do any kind of timepass.
Billu was somewhere else with Badnaam and Iqbal.

Anubhav ( thought ): yeh inhe kya ho gaya hai... Aaj sab bina samay vyarth kiye kaam kar rahe hai. Jarur Hassena ji ne daanta hoga. Chalo dekhte hai, par yeh Shrimaan kaha gaye? Bahar Iqbal aur Badnaam bhi nahi hai.

Anubhav saw Iqbal, Badnaam and Billu coming with liquor bottles. Billu sat on the table outside Badnaam's stall.

Billu: aaj sab kaam kar rahe hai, iss khushi mein toh party baanti hai.

Iqbal: lekin Billu bhai tumko daar nahi lag raha. Agar Hassena Madam ya Karishma Madam ne dekh liya toh.

Billu: are Iqbal bhai, agar sab kaam kar rahe hai toh kisi ko kya pata lagega.

Anubhav came and stood behind Billu. Iqbal and Badnaam saw him and Billu continued,

Billu: Aaj toh DSP sir ke ane ka bhi koi chance nahi hai toh chance ka faida toh udhana hi chahiye.

Anubhav ( from back ): ha voh toh sahi hai!

Bgm: ae lag gai for billu.

Billu: sir aap, Jai Hind Sir!

Anubhav: Shrimaan, hame najaane kyu aaisa prateet ho raha hai ki apka jo Billu Niwas hai, jald hi khali hone wala hai!

Billu: Nahi sir, maaf kar do. Please aisa mat karo, iss bechare se uska pyaar, uska ghar maat cheeno.

Anubhav: acha to thik hai, iss bar chod rahe hai, yadi aainda kabhi bhi maine aapko thane ke aas pas madira ( liquor ) lekar dekha toh...

Billu: nahi sir, aaina nahi hoga pakka!

Anubhav: thik hai jaiye aur jaakar hamari gadi saaf kijiye.

Billu left and Anubhav stares Iqbal and Badnaam. They both got busy in their respective work.

He entered thana to witness everyone working with dedication as before. Anubhav loudly salutes them and grabbed the attention. They all saluted. Till then Hassena came out of the cabin. She too saluted him.

Anubhav: kya baat hai aaj saab kaam mein lage hue hai, bina kisi timepass ke?

Hassena: ha sir voh aaj kaam bohut jyada tha isiliye.

Anubhav: koi baat nahi. Vaise Hassena ji hame aapse ek mahatvapurna baat karni hai, jaara aapne cabin mein chaliye to!

They left inside the cabin but no-one dare to listen their conversation because they were already busy.

Inside cabin,

Hassena: sir, aapne kaha ki aapko hamse kuch jaruri baat karni thi, baithiye na.

Hassena sat on her cabin chair and Anubhav on the seat infront of her.

Anubhav: actually, Hassena ji aapne notice kiya hi hoga ki aaj kal drugs ka prabhav kitna baadh gaya hai. Iski kharidi aur bikri bohot jyada baadh gayi hai to haam chahate hai ki aap iss mamle mein thoda jyada dhyaan de.

Hassena was already surrounded with too much work and here Anubhav was only adding in her workload. But Hassena decided to take it positively.

Hassena: it's okay sir, haam dekh lenge.

She said and massaged her forehead a little to ease the pain from headache but to her dismay it was increasing. And Anubhav noticed this.

Anubhav: kya hua hai, Hassena ji aap thik to hai na?

Hassena: ha sir haam bilkul thik hai. Don't worry haam aapki baaton ko najarandaaj nahi karenge.

Anubhav: thik hai phir haam chalte hai. Jai hind!

Hassena: jai hind!

Anubhav was still suspicious about Hassena's health noticed herself massaging her forehead and decided to talk with her at her home in the evening.

Hassena was working in the kitchen when the door bell rang. She did off the gas and opened the door only to find Anubhav at the doorstep.

Hassena: are sir aap, aap yaha kya kar rahe hai?

Anubhav: yahi se guzar rahe the toh socha aapse milte chale. Vaise aap hame aandar nahi bulayeingi.

Hassena: oh sorry, aap aaiye na andar.

Anubhav enters the house and sat on sofa.

Hassena: aap coffee lenge sir?

Anubhav: nahi sukriya, coffee ki jarurat nahi hai, haam aapse baat karne aye hai, baat karte hai!

Hassena: kya baat karni hai sir? Vaise aaj kal apko hamse bohot baat karni hoti hai.

Anubhav: kya kare avashyakta hai toh baat to karni hi padti hai. Vaise lagta hai apki ammi aaj ghar par nahi hai.

Hassena: sir voh ghar par hi hai, lekin so rahi hai, aajkal unki tabiyat kuch khas nahi rehti hai. Baas khana khane ke liye kamre se bahar ati hai. Agar aapko unse kuch baat karni hai toh bulate hai unhe bahar.

Anubhav: nahi nahi Hassena ji unhe pareshan maat kijiye. Hum aapke liye ye laaye hai, hamara maan hai ki aap ye dekhe. ( He handed over the packet to Hassena )

Hassena: kya hai ye sir? ( Opened the packet ) Ice Cream! Sir aap.. ye...

Anubhav: hame pata hai ki aapko pasand hai. Lekin uske niche kuch aur bhi hai.

Hassena checked inside to find headache pills. She was surprised and happy as well.

Hassena: sir, aapko kaise pata chaala ki hame headache hai?

Anubhav: subha jaab hamne apko aapna sar pakda hua dekha taab hi hame samaj aa gaya tha ki aapko headache hai. Isiliye.

Hassena smiled at his care as he continued,

Anubhav: hame maaf kar dijiye Hassena ji. Hame pata nahin tha aap par itna workload hai. Hamne apke saath jo bhi kiye uske liye hamne apse bolke maafi toh mang li Hassena ji lekin, haam apne haar harkat se aapko chot pohachate rehte hai! Aaj bhi haam aapse aur jyada kaam karne ke liye keh rehe the.

Hassena was smiling inwardly but didn't show up.

Hassena: it's okay sir. Haam samajhte hain ki aap par bhi bohot pressure hai case solve karne ke liye. Aapko iss liye maafi mangne ki jarurat nahin hai.

Anubhav ( smiles ): phir bhi haam toh maafi mangenge. I am sorry!

Hassena: chaliye maaf kiya, kush? Chaliye aab icecream khate hai.

They enjoyed the icecream and Anubhav left.

Hassena was smiling over Anubhav's care.

Is Hassena falling again for Anubhav?
