Halos hindi mapuknat ang ngiti ko netong mga nakaraang araw dahil sa sobrang kaligayahan. Pakiramdam ko ay nasa alapaap ako, all thanks to Belle and Ailee.
Kasalukuyan akong nasa dressing room at inaayusan para sa gaganaping fashion show ng sikat na Apparel brand na La Greta. Ako ang guest of honor ng event dahil ako ang kanilang bagong brand ambassador.
I need to look stunning more than I'm already am tonight. Isa kasi sa invited na guest sila Belle. She'll seat on the front row later and I'm kind of nervous. Ngayon niya lang ulit ako makikitang maglakad sa gitna ng catwalk, I need to impress her of course.
"Hey, there." masiglang bati sakin ng may-ari ng La Greta na kaibigan ko rin na si Helaena Wiles.
"What's up, girl." Nakangiting bati ko dito mula sa repleksyon ng vanity mirrror.
"I just want to personally thanked you for accepting our offer. It's a huge previlege for us to be working with an international supermodel like you."
"What's with the fomality, ano ka ba?" natatawa kong sabi dito. "Thank you for the oppurtunity as well."
Helaena smiled. "Have you meet the designer yet?"
Umiling ako. "Not yet. But I do saw her collections. Ang gaganda."
Lumawak ang ngiti nito. "Believe it or not. Estudyante pa lang siya. First show niya din 'to ngayon."
"Really? I'm surprised. Akala ko isa sa mga resident designers mo ang gumawa 'non. Not bad for a student designer though. Congrats to her."
"Thanks. I would like you to meet her." may inutosan itong staff na tawagin ang designer na nagngangalang Sue. Ilang saglit lang ay pumasok sa dressing room ang isang matangkad at magandang babae. Napa-singhap pa ito sa gulat nang makita ako.
"Hi." formal at genuine na bati ko sa babae.
"Miss Cara David." natuptop pa nito ang bibig. "Hello po. Fan nyo po ako."
I genuinely smiled at her. "I'm a fan of yours too now. Ang gaganda ng mga desinyo mong damit."
"Thank you po." overwhelmed at nahihiyang sagot nito tapos formal na ngumiti. "I'm Sue Bianchi. Nice to meet you, Miss Cara."
"Nice to meet you too, Sue." we shook each other's hands. "And congratulations on your first show. Keep it up. I'd be glad to work with you again."
"Aasahan ko po yan." excited nitong sagot.
"Be ready now, kitten. The show is about to start." malambing na tugon dito ni Helaena.
"Okay, bunny." Sue kissed Helaena on the cheeks before leaving.
"Ahem ahem." kunwari tikhim ko. "I'll just pretend I didn't saw that."
Helaena blushed and chuckled. "She's my girlfriend."
"Aw, nabaluktot ka rin pala. The last time I checked, you were just straight."
Helaena laughed. "I know right?"
"Stay in love you two."
"We will." Helaena smiled. "The show will start at five minutes. Ma-iwan na kita. Good luck."
"Thanks, madam." i winked at her.
Umalis na si Helaena sa dressing room at nagtungo sa kinaroroonan ng mga staff.
Lumapit sakin ang make up artist at ipinagpatuloy ang pag-aayos. Makalipas ang ilang minuto ay narinig ko ang opening ceremony ng host sa labas. I stood up and went to the busy backstage. Daig pang nasa Victoria Secret fashion show ang buong paligid.
