The three went into a conference room, where Lexie sat. She was doing the trial with Amelia. "Hey Lexie." Meredith said to Lexie and waved her, Lexie smiled warmly. "Hey Mer." Lexie replied. Meredith turned to Derek. "Why are we here?" "We're going to make some tests." Derek replied. "Okay." She replied and sat down on a chair, Derek sat down next to her. Amelia sat down at the end of the table with her laptop in front of her. "Okay Mer, first question. What is Derek for you?" Lexie asked. Derek swallowed hard as Meredith thought for a minute. "My husband." She replied with a smile, the other three smiled as well. "Do you know who this is?" Lexie asked, while pointing at Amelia. Meredith shook her head. "That's okay." Lexie said as Derek looked down in his lap holding back his tears. "Do you know who I am?" Meredith had to think more than she did before. "My sister?" She answered more like asking. "That's right Meredith. I'm your sister." Lexie said while swallowing hard. "Which year do we have?" "2010." Meredith replied, Lexie looked at Derek and sighed silently. "Okay, do you know Jackson or April?" Meredith shook her head. Derek thought for a second. "Mer do you know Jackie?" He asked. Meredith nodded eagerly. Amelia and Lexie looked confused, Derek mouthed that he will explain it later. "Do you know someone named Zola?" "Zola?" Meredith asked. Lexie nodded. "I don't know someone named Zola." She added. They asked Meredith a couple more questions before Derek brought Meredith back to her room. "Amelia, how is it?" Lexie asked. "It's progressing fast. There's a chance that she can't remember you next week or that she won't know that Derek is her husband." Amelia replied. "No, this can't happen." Lexie whispered. "She's my sister." Lexie added quietly while tears were welling up in her eyes. "If Derek gives us consent to operate, maybe we can slow down the progress." Amelia explained before she hugged Lexie.

Meanwhile in Merdith's room

"Meredith, do you want something to eat?" Derek asked, while he searched for his wallet. He got no response, he looked up at Meredith and saw her staring into nothing. "Meredith?" Derek asked as he stepped in front of her. He carefully grabbed her hand. "Mer?" "Hm what?" Meredith said as she snapped out of her gaze. "Do you want something to eat?" He asked gently. Meredith nodded. "Fries." She exclaimed happily. Derek laughed at her enthusiasm and kissed her forehead gently. "Okay, I'll be right back. I love you." "I love you too." Meredith replied and brought his lips to hers. She kissed him gently, Derek smiled and stepped out of the room. "Be right back." Derek said.

Meredith looked around in her room. "Why am I here?" She asked herself. Then she looked down at her hand and saw the bandages. "I have to dress it up again." Meredith whispered as she removed the bandages, after she removed them she looked at her burned hand. Meredith began to touch her hand, she winced from time to time. After she examined her hand by herself and thought it was good, she leaned back into her bed. Dr.Kelly saw all of this and went to a supply room to search for the supplies to restrain her. After he found them, he went back to Meredith's room, he stepped in and closed the door. He saw that Meredith was staring at something but shrugged it off. He went to her bed and began to retrain her, but as he touched her hand she snapped out of her gaze and pulled her hand away. Dr.Kelly grabbed her hand, even though Meredith pulled her hand away. "Don't touch me." She yelled. "Get off me." Dr.Kelly ignored her yelling and grabbed her hand now tightly so she couldn't pull it away anymore. "Let me go." Meredith yelled. "Shut up." Dr.Kelly yelled. Meredith's heart monitor began to went off, but Kelly ignored it. He finished to restrain her right hand, as he went over to her left hand he remembered that she removed the bandages. "Dumb Alzheimer's patient." He muttered as he grabbed her hand. Meredith cried in pain. "Let go of my hand, you're hurting me." She cried. "If you didn't remove the bandages, you wouldn't be in this situation." He snapped. Meredith began to kick him away. After a few seconds she kicked him into his guts. "You little bit-" He was cut off by someone. "Don't you dare finish that sentence. You little moron." Derek said with a loud voice. "She kicked me into the guts." Kelly tried to defend himself. "I'm sure she had a reason to do that. What are you doing here Dr.Kelly?" Derek asked as he went over to Meredith's bed. That's when he saw that she was restrained. "Are you stupid? We all told you that she doesn't need to be restrained." Derek snapped. "You were clearly hurting her. Now get out of the room and I will report you to the chief." Derek yelled. Dr.Kelly hurried out of the room. Derek quickly went over to Meredith and released her. "He-he didn't stop." She cried. "I know honey. I know." Derek said calmly as he quickly laid down in bed next to her. She pressed her face into Derek's chest and cried. "I hate him." Meredith cried. "I know I do too." After a few minutes Meredith calmed down a bit.
