Chapter 9

Okay Guys as I promised a happy/cute chapter with some dark scenes. @natkat28  gave me an Idea for this chapter so thank you. Also _Ktje_ helped me to write it and she designed my new Cover. Thank you girl. Love you. And now have Fun with this chapter.

"Meredith, what happened?" Catherine asked. Meredith shrugged. Then Catherine looked at Derek who had a sad expression on his face. "I don't know." Meredith replied, Catherine looked at her confused. "Mom, I'll explain this to you." Jackson told his mom after Derek silently agreed. Jackson and Catherine went out of the room into a private area. "Jackson, tell me what's wrong with Meredith, now." Catherine said sternly. Jackson sighed. "Two months ago, Meredith had an accident with her daughter Zola. When she first came in she didn't want to get checked out, even though her husband Derek and her friends told her to do it but you know how stubborn Meredith can be. When she finally agreed to get herself a head CT she had a seizure, Dr.Nelson repaired the bleed. After that Mer had problems with her memory so they did a CT, they found a brain tumor, so Nelson went back in and removed it. We thought she would be good with her memory again, after the surgery, but she had problems with her memory again. They looked again to see if there is another tumor or a brain bleed, but then they found out that Mer has Alzheimer's just like Ellis had." Jackson explained. "Normally she's home with Derek and Derek's sister, so that Mer isn't alone at home, two days ago her sister Lexie was with her and then Mer burned her hand pretty badly and now we are here." He added, Catherine was speechless. "Oh god." She whispered. "How bad is it?" "She can't remember Zola, she has trouble remembering Lexie, Derek or her friends. She remembers me only with my childhood nickname. She's in a trial for Alzheimer's, maybe that could help." Catherine nodded.

They both went back to Meredith's room. "Where's Derek?" Jackson asked as they stepped into the room again. "He had to talk with Owen." April explained. "Meredith how are you?" Catherine asked. "I'm good." She replied with a smile. They catched up a bit while Derek talked to Owen.

"Mark, I need your help." Derek yelled as he reached his friend. "We have to go to Hunt and explain to him what Dr.Kelly did to Meredith so he can get fired." Derek explained. "What did he do now?" Mark asked. "He retained Mer, yelled at her and was about to snap at her." "I hate him." Mark muttered. "Okay, let's go." Mark said as he and Derek went to find Owen.

"Hunt." Mark said as they found him. "Shep, Sloan, what can I do for you?" Owen asked. "We want to report Dr.Kelly, for two things.." They explained everything to Owen and he agreed that he can't be a doctor in Seattle Grace Mercy West anymore. Mark and Derek were about to turn around as Owen stopped them. "How's Meredith doing?" He asked, Derek sighed. "Amelia wants to do the Operation as soon as possible but I know that the trial could slow it down or it could do the complete opposite. (Let's just say that I know that this is not what Derek told us in the show.) "If you ever need someone to talk to or watch out for Meredith, call me." Owen suggested, Derek nodded. Owen went back to his office and reported Dr.Kelly and he suspended him at first because only the board can fire people. Mark went back to his patients while Derek went back to Meredith.

He stepped into Meredith's room and saw only Jackson and Catherine in there. "Hey." Meredith said with a smile as she saw him. "Hey." Derek replied. "Okay, we were just going right mom?" Jackson asked. "Right." Catherine said quickly and grabbed her things as she was next to Derek she stopped. "I'm sorry." She whispered, Derek gave her a sad smile and they left the room. "How are you feeling Mer?" Derek asked as he sat down on her bed. "I'm good." She smiled. "Do you want to go outside?" Derek asked, Meredith nodded eagerly and Derek smiled. "Okay, but let me give you that first." Derek said as he grabbed the wrist band and put it around her wrist. "What's that?" She asked, as she looked at it. The colour of the band was her favorite colour. "It's an emergency band, if something happens and you're outside then people see the numbers on it and they can call me." Derek explained. "Oh that's good." Meredith smiled. "It is." Derek replied and grabbed her hand. "C'mon we're going outside." They stepped out of the room and of course people were looking at Meredith and Derek but they ignored it, they both walked outside hand in hand.
