Meredith's POV

"You'll do amazing." Jade says to comfort me.

"But I go on in 30 minutes and I don't have Ed's moral support and," I trail on and on with many reasons to be nervous. "So. Many. People."

"Yes, but we'll be right in the front row for moral support. You have no reason to be scared. Act like it's just one back home." Jasmine replies rubbing my upper arm to calm me down. The three of us are currently sitting in my prctice room, waiting for my turn up.

"Where's Oli anyway?" I ask changing the subject as I look around the room as if I was looking for him even though no one else is in this room. I'm supposed to be preparing, not talking.

"He's-um. He's saving us seats." Jade studders out acting suspisiosly. Everyone has been acting weird recently, like they're hiding something from me, even my dad and Shannon are acting weird. I feel kind of left out, like they're all planning to kill me or something that I should be scared about.

"Yeah, we should go meet him and give you a few minutes to warm up anyways." Jasmine says standing up pulling Jade with her. They both stumble out the door and close it before I can object.

Sighing to myself, I manage to get off the chair and walk over to the mirror where the bar is. I plce my foot up on it and stretch. I repeat this process multiple times before a lady comes in the room with a clipboard in hand.

"Five minutes, be on deck." She says rudly before walking back out. I let out a silent huff before going down the hall and towards the edge of the stage. From where I stand, I can see the person before me still dancing.

"And now is Meredith Jane, dancing to Tenerife Sea." The announcer says coming out on stage right when the song of the other girl ends. I shake my hands at my sides and  let out a uff of air. This is it. The big dance that my boyfriend can't come to.

Right after the announcer leaves the stage, the music begins. I run out on stage and do the routine I mad and practiced for three weeks. My nerves are higher than ever, even more than before.

I try not looking out to the audience, but I can't hep myself. My eyes wander off and see Jasmine, Jade, Oliver, Shannon, and my dad all in the front row, but right in the middle in between Jade and Oliver, there's an empty seat. That's so weird.

Being to focused on that empty seat, I fall. I tried landing a spin in the air, but I fell. But learning to dance, they always taught us to get right back up if we fall, so I do. I try to make it look like part of the routine since Ed and I are the only ones that have actually seen my routine.

Continuing, my anxiety only gets worse and worse. Knowing it's a bad idea, I do it anyways and look out into the audience. I look back to my friends only to see Ed walking down the aisle.

"Oh my god." I whisper, not moving my mouth, and only loud enough for myself to hear. Maybe even too quiet.

Once I fully acknowledge that Ed, is infact, here. He is right in the front row with an extremely large smile on his face. Even just knowing he's there makes me beter. In seconds all my fears leave and I dance more confidently then ever.
