Meredith's POV
"Teddybear, wake up." I groan rolling over and pushing him a little.
"What?" He asks quietly while opening his eyes to look down at me.
"You need to drive me to the practice rooms, competition is tomorrow." I say trying not to think to hard about how he can't come. I tried to act as if it was okay, but it won't be as good. I won't feel as motivated if he's not there to watch me.
"Do I have to get dressed?" He asks just barely moving again. He's wearing a tee-shirt and sweatpants.
"Not unless you want to come in." I reply pulling myself out from the covers and walking to the dresser for cloths. I pick out pink exercise shorts, a grey sports bra, and a blue sweatshirt just for the ride there.
"Well, can I watch you practice since I can't see you tomorrow?" He asks making me a little more exited. If he can't see the actual thing, then he might be able to watch it before as I practice.
"Yes! Get dressed, we need to leave in five minutes." I squeal exitedly jumping out the door and to the kitchen. I eat an apple and drink a water quicky before running back to our room. Ed's layed out on the bed, already dressed, laying on his phone.
"Ready?" He asks. I nod making him smile and hop off the bed. "You drive, I don't know my way there too well." He says tossing me the keys as we walk to the stairs. I haven't really driven on the left side of the road yet, so lets just see how this goes down.
I try my hardest to sneek through the upstairs of the house because everyone else is still asleep, but Ed doesn't. He basically stomps his way through th hallway and into the kitchen where we're greated by Kitty.
I quickly grab a piece of paper and a pen and leave a note.
Hey dad, Ed and I are going to my last practice until the competition tomorrow because he can't see the real thing due to an nterview. If you need anything, ask Jade. -Meredith
"You go out to the car, Teddy. I'll be there in a second." I say before bolting up to the second floor where Shannon and my dad's room is. I slip the note under the door before running back downstairs and out the door to the driveway.
"Mere, I'm really sorry I can't go tomorrow." Ed says as I enter the car and sit in the drivers seat while turning the engine on. I am extremely upset about him not being able to go, but he looks even more sad.
"Teddy, It's fine. Really. Don't worry about it, I'm just glad you can at least come today." I say sending him and reassuring smile while attempting to pull out of the driveway and onto the main road. Attempting being the key word. "I'll have other competitions anyways."
"I know, I just feel bad about it." He adds before flicking on the radio. A random british pop song I've never heard of comes on. I've been hearing a lot of new pop songs since I've arived here, and British pop music sounds a lot different that American pop.
