Meredith's POV

"I'm exited, Teddy!" I smile latching onto his arm as we approach the doors of Languini's. Yes, I'm nervous, but I would have to meet them all at some point. They are his family, not like we could just avoid them.

"I'm not. Warning, don't bring up religion or how your dad used to be a drunk." He says opening the door for me. The restaurant is beautiful, right on a main street. It's decorated with white Christmas looking lights all around. The little waiting area is packed with people, all seeming to notice that the Ed Sheeran just walked in.

"Why?" I ask obviously confused.

"My dad's an alcoholic so he would be uncomfortable, plus I used to be so it would remind my mum. And for the religion thing, I don't believe in anything and they hate that."

"Well, I wasn't planning on casually slipping in my religion to the conversation anyways." I laugh causing him to smile for the first time since we arrived.

The walls are old looking stone with paintings of tomatoes and delicious looking foods from Italy. I can feels Ed bicep tense at the realization of all the people, he knew it would be busy, as did I; but all the people are now pushing each other and trying to get closer to us. Sometimes I think when Ed and I go out, he forgets that he's a celebrity.

"Hello, Sir. The wait is three hours unless you have a reservation." The tall man behind the host desks says as we approach him. He looks like a real hipster, his beard goes down to mid chest and is well combed along with his mustache with curls out at the ends, obviously jelled that way.

Yes, I have reservations for Sheeran." He replies sending the man a smile before the host goes back to looking at his clipboard which holds a list.

"Ah, Sheeran. Right this way." He says loudly before grabbing five menus and walking off towards the back of the restaurant. Ed and I follow close behind, pushing through the large crowd.

"This is your table. Your waiter will come when the rest of your party arrives." The host says as we reach a larger table in a separate section of the restaurant. There's no one at the tables around us, I'm assuming Ed bought those out as well so we wouldn't be bombarded.

I sit in the seat against the wall as Ed sits right next to me. "You can sit across from me, you know." I laugh taking off my coat to reveal my blue dress and resting it on the back of my chair.

"Yes, but if I sit here, Matthew can't sit next to you." He says with just as much humor, but still a sense of seriousness in his tone.

"What? You don't trust me?" I joke.

"I trust you, I don't trust him." He says pulling out his phone just as four people come into our section. The first must be our waitress, followed by a sweet old looking woman, a man right curly blond-ish hair that's turned most grey, and a man a little older than Ed. He also had ginger hair, only a tiny bit taller than Ed.
