Meredith's POV

"Now, we've finished all recording take except for the very end."  The director exclaims making us pause and look to him.

"Okay, so lets record the end." I say a little confused to why they stopped us. Usually they would just let us go on, and work through the dance as best we can.

"Well, we're adding something to the end." He smiles. I stay silent, as does Ed urging the director to continue. "We want you two to kiss."

"What?! You guys hired me as a dancer, not an actress." I yell. I mean I wouldn't mnd kissing ED, but on video, for millions of people to see? I don't know, that seems a little weird.

"When you accepted the dancing part, you accepted the role." Amy fights back.

"Okay, fine." I huff. There's no way I could win this argument. I did accept whatever this is. "So how do you want it to happen?" I ask Lillian.

"Right before you slide down to the ground with each other and wrap your leg around him, rest both hands on Ed's shoulders and lean in. Make the viewers believe it, like there's a spark that ignites when your lips touch." Lillian answers. So it's the second to last thing we do.

"You don't have to do this if you don't want to, Mere." Ed whispers in my ear as we get into ready positions.

"It's fine Ed. Really. I'm not that upset about it at all." Why did I say that?! Now he must know I have an actual kind of crush on him. He even smiled at me, like we wants the kiss too. I must be going insane.

"Action!" The director yells making the music begin. We started right after I flip over Ed's shoulder. I grab his hand and he spins me out then pulls me back in and moves with me.

Now, for a moment, It feels as if it's just Ed and I. Like the world isn't real and I'm floating on clouds. Everything is blackout out or blurry, except Ed. I stare straight into his eyes as we do the next few moves. I can tell by his expression he's happy and smiling, but there's something more. Something for that I can't unmask.

Here it is. I rest both hands on Ed shoulders as he grabs my hips working to the beat of the music which we both know by heart; me because of all the practice, Ed because it's his song. He has to bend his back forward to lean in because of his much taller figure. I stand on my toes to reach him, and in that moment our lips meet for the first time, time has stopped.

Lillian told us to make the camera's believe there was something there, but trust me; we didn't have to pretend at all. I felt it. I felt the spark surge through me at lighting speed, I've never felt anything like this. What is this? Love?

Before Ed and I messed the dance up by being caught up in our kiss, I pull away. For a split second Ed looks confused, until he see's me moving behind him to finish the dance. We both slide to the ground and stay layed next to each other. I wrap on leg around him and rest my head on his chest.

"Good, cut!" The director yells once more. "I'll watch it back and see if we need another take. You have a five minute break." I bolt up from the ground and run to the hall away from Ed. Grabbing my water bottle I sigh while taking a large gulp. I'm a bit out of breath from that whole experience.
