"Because... i'd never treat me that shitty."

"...you made me hate this city."

"Just, PLEASE, leave me alone."

Kaeya's walk slowed down as the blonde male brought more distance between them.

"Albedo..."

"You always do this."

Kaeya sighed and took a step forward when the shorter one turned around.

"Albedo, please... don't be like that."

"I'm tired of this, you know."

Albedo said and tilted his head. An angry, forced smile was shown on his face as his hands became fists. It was the first time Kaeya had seen his friend like that - and he surely didn't like it.

"You always do this! It's almost pathetic, Kaeya! You've been going drinking every evening now! It's exhausting!"

Kaeya took a few hasty steps forward again and put his hand over the smaller one's mouth.

"Shh! It's the middle of the night, Albedo-"

Said male freed himself from the cryo knight, slapping his hand away.

"I don't care!"

He screamed, almost hysterically.

"I thought we were better than this, Kaeya! I thought that at least you-"

Albedo paused and took a step backwards before more words could slip out of his mouth, words he kept to himself all along. The words he never was allowed to let slip.

Kaeya was tired and didn't want to argue, especially not at night and not like this, when he wasn't sober. While he thought about what to respond, the blonde male just walked away. He was too tired to deal with his drunk friend.

"I was happier before meeting you."

The taller male just stood there, completely alone in the middle of the city. This never happened before, but if Albedo felt like that, it made the cryo knight sad.
What's kept hidden for a longer time will be said though, one way or another.

Kaeya knew that Albedo was a person that avoided social interaction at all costs, he was unbelievably happy when they became closer friends. It took him thousands of tries, much effort and a lot of mistakes, which he had to fix as soon as he could - or the distance between them would grow bigger again.

I screwed up.

And as the night progressed, Kaeya was laying in his bed, thinking about how he could fix this. Did he maybe take Albedo's kindness for granted? It was painful to think about losing him and being on bad terms with him. Kaeya wanted the other to be only close and kind to him, he never wanted to see him in pain, he never intended on making the blonde male suffer.

Albedo was shy, not a man of many words. He was passionate about things he loved like alchemy, art and nature, a real nerd despite not meeting the standards of that title.

The cryo knight became restless, his mind was stealing his sleep and his thoughts made him even sadder. He never felt like this before.

It felt like everything just came crashing down on him.
