"have you ever felt as lost as i did?"

he asked, looking down the bridge he stood on before climbing onto the railing.

his friend raised his head, focussing his gaze now on the other.

"what?"

his feet were dangling over the edge.

"what are you saying? is this some kind of deep-talk? 'cause if it is, i am not interested."

his friend looked away, scoffing lightly.

"hey"

"what?"

his friend sighed in annoyance.

"push me."

silence.

"what?"

another long gap of silence.

"what the fuck dude, no."

he took another sip out of the bottle, looking down onto the street. it was empty.

he chuckled.

"hey"

"what now?"

his friend took away the bottle.

"i wanna die so badly."

his friend's expression changed from annoyed to a softer one. he sighed.

"i know."

"no. no, you don't."

his friend looked at him in confusion.

"what do you mean?"

once again long silence gathered around them.

"pass me another cig."

his friend did as he was told and handed over the package and the lighter.

"come down from the railing."

he didn't move an inch and just stared down, before leaning forward.

"for fuck's sake!"

his friend pulled him back by the hood of his sweater, making both of them fall onto the ground.

"shit, there goes my cigarette"

he looked over to the other side, where the bottle had fallen down onto the concrete; his favorite alcohol was staining the pavement.

"and there goes my drink. hey, do you know how expensive that was?"

his friend hit him.

"i thought you were gonna jump for real. don't do this shit, man."

he sighed and lied down completely.
the ground was cold.

"get up, you're gonna get sick."

"hey-"

"no, we're going back to the car."

his friend took his backpack and walked away.

he sighed an sat up.

this definitely isn't for me.

he got up in the end and followed his friend down the road to the his car.

"hey"

"what."

silence.

"i'm sorry."
