Ivy dropped her keys on the counter as she entered the tower, dropping her bag to the floor.
"Hey, Bucky! Where is everyone?"
"With family", he said, pouring himself a drink, "It's Christmas. Steve and Nat are at Clint's, Wanda and Vision are gone, Tony is with Pep and Morgan, Sam is with his Sister. And Thor  and Loki are with Jane, I think."

"And you? What about you?", Ivy said confused.
Bucky sighed.
"Sweetheart, I'm from the 40s. Most of my family died before Hydra brought me back and by now they're all gone."
Ivy made a face.
"Right. Sorry."
He waved it off and sat on the couch, still looking at her.
"What about yours?", he said and took a sip.
"Trust me - my family is the last thing I wanna see on Christmas", she said dry and got herself a drink too, before she sat down across from him.
"Well then - merry Christmas", he said.
"Cheers", she nodded and they both smiled.
She grabbed her phone, put on Avalanche by James Arthur and Bucky just shook his head, smiling.

"Guess it's just us then this weekend, huh?", he said eventually, after emptying his drink.
"Yeah, I guess", she agreed and swallowed.
They both just looked into each other's eyes for a moment, before they basically jumped each other.
She felt his lips on hers, his hands on her hips and back, then he lifted her up, pinned her against the next wall.

"Oh James", she whispered in between the kisses.
"I like it when you say my name", he murmured, and she smiled, taking his face into her hands.
"Let's do it on the couch because they all abandoned us", she said panting and he grinned.
"Oh, absolutely."
She helped him take off his shirt, dropped it to the ground and took off her sweater, before she kissed him again.
His fingers stroked over her back and the cold metal made her shiver for a second, but in a good way.
His lips were as soft as his touch, his skin against hers felt so good, and whenever she got the chance to look into his blue eyes, she could see his pupils dilate.

Bucky carried her over to the couch, sat down with her on his lap and kissed her again, his fingers running through her soft, long hair and over her ivory skin.
"We should do this more often", he mumbled and kissed her neck.
She made a pleased noise and grinned.
"Oh yeah, we should."
He gently pushed her onto the couch, off his lap, and bent over her, kissing her neck, collarbone and chest.
Ivy wrapped her legs around his hips and smiled.
"Damn this song has the perfect vibe for a sad Christmas make out session", she noticed.
He chuckled and opened her bra.
"Yes. It does", he said softly, and then lay his lips on hers again.

It was already dark outside.
Bucky stared at the Christmas tree, enjoying the calm, peaceful feeling in his chest.
Ivy snuggled up against him, wearing nothing but her underwear, her hair looking a little destroyed, but she had this glow in her eyes that he had never seen before.
Even though it was freezing outside and he was only wearing sweatpants, the warm feeling around his heart seemed to keep his whole body warm.
He caressed her face for a second, gave her a kiss and she smiled.

"This has been my favorite Christmas ever so far", she said and kissed his chest.
He smiled back and kissed her on the forehead.
"Do you wanna dance?", he said suddenly, when a song he knew came up: I'm in the mood for love.
Finally some 40s music.
"I can't dance, actually", she said.
"I'll show you."
"Okay. Sure."
He stood up, took her hand and she followed him away from the couch.

"Just hold on to me", he said and she smiled when he laid his hand on her waist, taking her hand into his other.
She let him gently guide her and enjoyed being so close to him.
"That song is so beautiful", she whispered and started to softly sing along.
"Heaven is in your eyes, bright as the stars we're under - oh is it any wonder I'm in the mood for love..."
"Your voice is amazing", he said, a little surprised by how good she sang.
Ivy blushed and hid her face in his chest.
"Thanks."
He smiled and held her for a moment.
The song ended and she let go of him.
"Wanna hear another sad love song?", she said with a smile.
"Go ahead", he grinned and she grabbed her guitar from the wall.

He sat down next to her as she started playing the chorus.
"What do you see, when you look at me?
Don't cover my scars, let them bleed
Tell me, is this how it's supposed to be?
Well then, I'm so, I'm so happy
And we don't need rehab..."

He just sat there, listening to her soft, calm voice singing about love to him.
And at that moment he was really glad she was with him.
"That's beautiful. Kinda sad but beautiful", he said when she ended and smiled.
She smiled back and caressed his face for a second.
"Wait until you've heard 'Where's my love'... One day, maybe."
He smirked.
"Can't wait."

She put away the guitar and gave him another kiss.
"I think I might go to bed."
"You sure? We could...watch the stars or something. Dance, drink, watch a movie...anything", he said.
He didn't want her to go. And he didn't want to go to sleep.
She raised an eyebrow and then sat down.
"You don't want to be alone, right? And you don't want to sleep alone."
He swallowed and shook his head.
"Okay. Then I'll stay with you tonight", she said, calmly, like it was no problem at all.
He wrapped his arms around her and closed his eyes for a second, feeling her heartbeat against his chest.

Then she stood up, took his hand and followed him to his bedroom.
He pulled her into his arms to cuddle with her and she kissed him gently.
"You know what I like about this? I never feel so comfortable and loved and safe than when I'm with you", she admitted.
"That's great", he murmured and kissed her on the forehead.
"Hmm."
"I really like being around you, too", he said softly and she smiled.
"Good night James."
"Good night Ivy."
