"Okay guys, should we talk it through again?", Steve asked and gave Ivy her gun.
She looked at Bucky and then back at Steve.
"Do I get bonus points if I pretend to listen?"
"If you'll make it covincing, you'll get them from me", Bucky said grinning and she chuckled.
"Ivy. Come on. You know it's important for the success of the mission that you follow the plan. And we all know you're not the greatest listener."
She raised her eyebrows and made an offended face.
"Wow! That is...totally true. Bitch."
Bucky chuckled again.
"He is kind of bitchy sometimes isn't he?"
"Totally. Maybe he's on his period.
Let's go, Buck, we can do this without grandpa."
"Hey, I'm not finished", Steve shouted after them.
"Can't hear you, I'm such a bad listener!", Ivy shouted back and left the quinjet with Bucky, who just kept laughing.

-
"This is so awkward", Ivy whispered, clinging to the gun in her arm.
Steve nodded.
"It is."
They were sitting in a very small, dark room, more like a closet, their knees and arms touching, hiding from a group of what they suspected to be mercenaries.
Their safe house was not the biggest, but certainly not small.
It should've been an easy job, take them out, cuff them, bring them to S.H.I.E.L.D.
Just Steve, Ivy and Bucky.
But they had really fucking good weapons.
Like, too good.

"What the fuck are these guns powered with?", Ivy whispered.
"I don't know. But they sound a lot like some Hydra weapons I've seen", Steve explained, whispering too.
"God, you couldn't have picked something easier for my first job back?", Ivy groaned and Steve sighed.
"Let's just get it over with."

Then he suddenly burst through the door, covering his body with his shield and just slammed two of the guys to the ground, they fell like toppling statues.
Ivy giggled and followed him.

"Hey, look Steve, you're finally out of the closet!"
She could hear Bucky laugh on her earpiece and grinned satisfied.
Steve sighed.
"God, what did I do to deserve you two."
"Oh, you love us", Ivy said and put handcuffs on the two guys.
Then they heard footsteps, but it was just Bucky.
He carried another unconscious man over his shoulder and threw him onto the others.
"Let's just pile them up here."

Ivy giggled and sighed.
"Bucky. I think I hear them", Steve said and pointed to the other room.
"Yeah, me too."
"Ivy, go in here, we'll take the sides."
"A'ight."

They split up and Ivy slowly opened the door, her gun closely to her face.
She saw at least six guys, standing around a huge table full of plans, maps and other paper work.
They had huge guns strapped to their backs, guns she had never seen before.
She swallowed, then she heard Steve's voice:
"I see them. We go in on three. One, two, three.."

Ivy exhaled and then started shooting.
Not headshots, just the legs.
She took out two, Bucky and Steve the others, when suddenly she felt someone grabbing her by the neck.
She immediately pulled a knife out of her sleeve and slammed it backwards.
When she felt the knife pentrating flesh, she almost gagged.
The guy behind her screamed and let go of her, she turned around, kicked him in the stomach and knocked him off his feet.
"Cuff him", she said panting, and Steve did.

"That was pretty badass", Bucky said surprised, "You okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. That was...gross, though", she said and pointed to the stabbing wound.
Bucky chuckled.
"Trust me, you get used to it."
"Ew. I don't even know if I want that."
"Well, you better. That's probably gonna happen a lot."

Ivy groaned.
"Well that's annoying."
He chuckled and they turned to Steve, who stood there, with his arms crossed, watching them.
"Can you guys stop flirting and help me with those guys maybe?"

Ivy blushed.
"How am I supposed to help, I'm literally weak as fuck", she said, trying to distract them.
Bucky chuckled.
"You go clear the way, we carry them out. Then we'll get the plans and shit."
"Alright. Sounds like a plan", Ivy agreed and started walking.

When they had the guys all in the back of the quinjet, Ivy started taking apart their gear.
She had a thing for guns and assembling them, just like Bucky did.
He stood next to her and for a few minutes they were just silently working side to side, while Steve was flying the jet, sitting a few feet away from them.

Eventually Bucky looked over to her.
"Hey. Good job in there."
"Thanks", she said with a smile.
"I...I'm sorry it was a little awkward between us...", he began.
"It's alright. Me too", she interrupted him and he smiled a little.
"Okay. Good."
She smiled back and then he gave her a hug.

He smirked, she blushed again, and turned to the disassembled weapons again.
"What am I looking at?"
"I'm not sure. Looks a lot like Hydra Weapons though. That's not good. They might be back on their bullshit."
"What would that mean for you?", she asked softly and he exhaled slowly.
"I don't know. Pain, I guess. I mean...they can't control me anymore, so that's good, right?"

She put a hand on his shoulder.
"Yeah. That is good, Bucky."
"Yeah. I guess it is. Doesn't mean they can't hurt me. Or the people that are important to me."
He didn't break eye contact for a second, before he eventually looked over to Steve, and she swallowed.
She was important to him, too.

He lifted up one corner of his mouth and Ivy had to smile.
He normally had such a subtle way of flirting, but by now it had become pretty obvious.
She didn't mind though, she liked that.
He was cute and she liked him being a little more open about the fact that he liked her.
