"You love me, and I find you still

A spirit beautiful and bright,

Yet I am I, who long to be

Lost as a light is lost in light"

-Sara Teasdale

It was eleven in the morning when Regina woke up. Her brain was foggy, and she glared at the pillow she was resting in as her eyes adjusted to the light. It was sunny, and she was laying on the floor, alone. At first, she didn't know if the events of the night before had all been a dream, but the soft scent of cologne assured her and she clenched her jaw with embarrassment.

Her head was killing her, but she couldn't help but notice that her ears and cheeks felt warm from the shame she felt.

A loud groan escaped her lips, as she tried to stand up.

"What did I do?!" She muttered, as she brought her hand to her head trying to stop the beating inside of it.

She slowly made her way upstairs, carrying the pillows with her.

When she passed through Dylan's room she could hear the faint sound of water running, she wondered what was going on through his head. The thought that he remembered everything, made her feel anxious, and she quickly ran toward her room when she heard that the water was no longer running.

It was later in the afternoon when she came out of her room. She felt embarrassed and had debated with herself if she really wanted to see him. She knew that the conversation would eventually pop-up, and she would have to possibly find a silly excuse to cover up her feelings.

Her stomach felt heavy as she walked downstairs, but somehow she also felt a fluttering in her heart. It was almost as if her heart was leaping inside of her. Her mind wandered of to that night, the feeling of Dylan's lips pressed against her own, and the fluttering intensified. She was ashamed about it, but she couldn't help but feel excited as she remembered it.  She didn't understand how it could be possible to feel both those strong feelings at once.

When she finally arrived at the kitchen, it was empty, Dylan was nowhere to be found. Instead, there was a piece of paper by the island. The note read:

I got a call from the hospital. I'll be back in 2 hours. If you're hungry, I left some food on the stove.

A pang of relief filled her heart and stomach, and she quickly went to grab some of the food he left behind for her.

"He treats me like if he was my mother," she muttered as she ate.

"He's too cute," she gushed as she tried not to smile, her eyes landing back on the note.

After having breakfast, she made her way back upstairs. Her phone was ringing uncontrollably, and had been ringing for quite a while. In fact, she had a couple of missed calls, all from Mrs. Kendall.

"Hello." she said, her voice small and nervous.

"Gi, it's me Tina. Mom, Dad, and I are going to the beach house. Mom said that she wants you and Dylan to come, you know so that you can spend your honeymoon on a nice relaxing beach ..." There was a few minutes of whispers coming from the line, before Tina's voice bombarded the line again.

"She said that you two can stay on the second floor. You know, cause you're on your honeymoon and all that." She added with an annoyed sigh.

"Uhm...I'm not sure we can go." Regina said, trying not to sound nervous.
