~Mt. Sagiri~
We see Zane walking on a dirt path as it had just turned to night and he has bought a small Tanto for defense from mainly demons
Zane: (I've been walking for what feels like a day... I'm so tired... Once I get there maybe Urokodaki will let me rest a little.)
His walking is interrupted because he starts hearing a faint brushing of the leaves like someone is running past them
Zane: (Is someone here? Is that an animal? A demon? Demons have different heart beats from humans. I cant tell. Is that Urokodaki testing me?)
He keeps walking when he suddenly heard another heart beat and in the middle of the path a man with grey pale skin four horns protruding from his orange haired head and spikes on his elbows and forearms wearing a light purple tattered outfit was crouched over a bloody body
Demon: Oh...?
Zane stood frozen at the sight as the demon turned around showing his blood red sclera and dark purple eyes on his face the center of his body and biceps
Demon: Another snack has come my way?
Blood dripped from his mouth as his sharp teeth formed a grin
Zane: (A demon! A man-eating demon!)
He licked the blood off his fingers and he stood up
Demon: You look about young. Maybe 13... Still ripe... Guess I can torture you for a few years. Until you're ready to be eaten!
He lunges forward tackling Zane to the ground however Zane quickly pulled out his Tanto and sliced the demons neck making the demon jump off and back putting a hand on his neck
Demon: Heh... A blade, huh? Not bad. Not bad at all. Perhaps you are ready to be eaten. However, a measly scratch like this... Will heal in no time.
The cut on his neck heals back together like he was never cut to begin with
Demon: Look at that. No more bleeding.
Seeing that Zane gulps as he grows more worried then he begins to get back up but the demon jumps on him again pinning him to the ground and knocking his blade away
Zane: (So fast! His strength is unbelievable!)
Demon: You've gone and dropped your only defense! I'll snap your neck in half!
He begins to squeeze against Zane's neck as he looks around for his blade seeing it not to far and he reaches out for it
Zane: (Reach it! Reach it!)
He stretches out grabbing the blade and with that he swings it around slicing through the demons neck causing his head to roll away and his body to fall off
Once the realization of what just happened set in Zane quickly shuffled away looking at his hands
Zane: (I... Killed him. With my own two hands.)
While thinking to himself he fails to notice the demon's body slowly getting up and once he does it lunges at him only for him to reflectively kick it away while shuffling away
Zane: (H-He's not dead? How? I cut off his head!)
Demon: You annoying bastard!
He looks over to the decapitated head on the ground
Demon: You cut off my head! I was right! You are ripe! How dare you trick me like that!
Back with Zane he's looking at the head
