In the Infinity Castle Muzan was at his workbench experimenting to pass the time when the Biwa demon suddenly appears next to him
Muzan: Have you gotten Yami, yet?
He didn't even turn around likely cause he already knew the answer
Biwa: No Master Muzan. By the time I found him he was already beheaded.
Muzan: That's a shame. Oh well, we don't need that weakling to get Nezuko from the Slayers.
He was a little disappointed in Yami but honestly he couldn't care less
Biwa: I did find the young blue eyed slayer there. He seems to be the one to have killed Yami.
This made Muzan look up remembering who that was
Biwa: He looks to be heavily damaged after his fight. Shall I send one of the Upper Moons to finish him?
Muzan: No need. That boy is no threat to us. Dismissed.
The girl didn't respond and just disappeared as Muzan stared at his work
Muzan: Pathetic.

Zane's eye lids moved slightly as he slowly opened his eyes seeing a wooden ceiling he looked around confused this didn't look like heaven
???: Ah! You're finally awake!
He looked over to the door seeing a man
Man: I'm glad. Your injuries seemed pretty bad.
He placed down a towel and fresh bandages
Man: Wait here. I'll get you some tea and call a doctor to examine you.
The man left giving Zane time to take in the fact that he's still alive
Zane: (I'm alive...)
He sat up and looked at his hands
Zane: (I killed Yami. I avenged every person he ever killed and hurt.)
He felt the cold metal of his necklace begin to affect his body as he clenched his hands over and over feeling the muscles tighten
Zane: (Now what?)
He uncovered himself his loose clothing drooped letting his shoulder and half of his upper body out to the world
Zane: (I did the only thing I wanted to do. I suppose I fulfill my promise to Tanjiro and Nezuko.)
The door slid open as the man from before along with a more sophisticated man and a young boy walked in
Man: Here.
He placed down a tray of tea and poured him a cup
Doctor: Hello. My name is Koju. I'll be examining your body, if you don't mind.
Zane: Please go ahead.
He glanced at the boy who sat quietly by the wall as Koju put on a pair of glasses
Koju: Okay... Lets see.
He lifted the hair covering Zane's forehead to look at the right side
Koju: Hm...
He put rubbed some ointment on his fingers
Koju: Okay. I'm going to press down light on your forehead, tell me if you feel any pain.
Zane: Okay.
The doctor started lightly pressing right under the hair line where the cut was but Zane said nothing nor did he react
