The two young adults made their way down the busy New York City streets.

Autumn happened to be one of the prettiest seasons to Leigh-Ann, it wasn't too hot or too cold. The evolving roars from the wind attempting to torture her moon-face allowed her to live in the moment. Today however, was a little too chilly. The five o'clock traffic began to pick up after a stand still. All you could hear were cars honking, angry driver's with road rage yelling above their lungs, and sirens of police cars and ambulance's on their way to a crime scene. Leigh-Ann held onto Harry's left hand loosely, their fingers intertwined, while her other hand laid warmly in her trench coat pocket. As the wind began to pick up, Ann squeezed Harry's hand abruptly.

"Loosen up, love." Harry joked as the two came upon a crosswalk. Leigh-Ann smiled slightly and looked up at him. He stared at her for a moment, taking in her beauty. He noticed that her eyes were blood shot red and slightly puffy. A sigh fell from his pink lips, sadness washing over him. He felt sympathy for his friend, but like she told him he needed to let her get through this. The light lit up with a white human-like figure, giving the young adults the right to go.

After a while of walking the two came upon Starsbucks. Harry let go of Ann's hand and opened the glass door.

"Thank you." She said as she walked in, smiling slightly, eyeing the busy cafè.

"You're welcome, baby girl." Harry replied, following closely behind. "The line is so long."

"Well, you wanted to come." Ann stated, sighing.

"I didn't realize how packed it was going to be." Harry said, shaking his head. Analyzing the line in front of him and glancing behind him, as a few more people began to enter the overpopulated building. After a few minutes passed, the line died down and the two young adults were now being served.

"I think it was worth waiting." Ann said, after taking a long sip of her S'mores frappé.

"Duh." He said, nudging Ann's shoulder slightly. In response she giggled.

"What should be do next?"

"Go home and order take out?" Ann shrugged, taking a long sip of her frappé.

"You're so basic." Harry mumbled.

"What?" Ann asked, swallowing the substance in her cheeks and laughing slightly, bumping in to him.

"Oh nothing." He said, smirking.

"I'm not basic."

"Sure you're not." Harry said before sipping on his hot chocolate.

"I'm not. You are though."

Harry laughing in shock,"Who's basic?"

"You because you're going to order it anyways." Leigh-Ann said proudly. Harry rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, whatever. "

That night that's what they did. The two ordered their usual meal from the local Chinese joint about a block away and watched Netflix. Not once did Ann's ex cross her mind and not once did Harry ask.
