I stared at my ceiling for a long while each day, having no motivation or desire to simply get up.Staring up at the ceiling gave me plenty of time to think of the girl who no longer had me on her mental.
Leigh-Ann no longer needed or wanted me.I should've seen it coming, but I never did.
The realization was devastating.I guess she never really needed time to begin with, she was mine temporarily and I would like to assume I was her's temporarily as well, if she even believe I was genuinely hers.
I turned my notifications off; ignoring each thread in my phone for a few days before I texted my mom, letting her know Leigh-Ann said hi.
My mother instantly called me as if she was obligated to.
I guess Leigh-Ann was the reason why a lot of lose ends were hanging on by their last threads.
She asked ridiculous questions about both Leigh-Ann and sadly, I didn't have answers to a few of them. I had no idea how I was supposed to answer or if I even could without sounding illiterate or like a wuss.
At the end of the call, for the first time in a long time, I heard an I love you escaped her lips and that instantly caused my eyes to widen.
"I love you too." A smug grin on my face as the words rolled off my tongue with ease.
