She huffed as her brown orbs glanced down at her wrist watch. Time was passing buy quicker than she thought it would. Fifteen minutes had turned into thirty and eventually thirty turned into an hour. He was an hour late. His assuring texts had all been a lie. He wasn't getting ready nor was he on his way. She couldn't even think of what he could be doing.

The girl raised up two fingers. Her pointer and middle finger flew into the air, indicating that she was interested in her check. Multiple emotions began to tower over her as she reached inside her clutch and pulled out a twenty. Enough for a simple appetizer, a drink, and a tip. Sliding out of the booth she stretched and took one last sip of her water before  attempting to head towards the exit. Before she could even slip out of the booth, the bell over the door chimed, indicating that someone was emerging. Her heart dropped when she found herself taking in his silky skin and model like structure. His eyes sucked in the building until his hazel brown orbs found her brown ones. She huffed and found herself walking in his direction. She wasn't heading over to hold a conversation. The thought of leaving was still plucking at the puppet inside of her head. As she approached him, she realized how deadpan he looked. Every inch of compassion or any emotion at all was gone. It wasn't evident at all. If she was recently introduced to him she would think that he was beyond heartless. Unrealistic thoughts would take over and she wouldn't be able to comprehend or handle who he was. As the girl tried to leave, the boy reached out to her eagerly. With everything he was going through, it seemed cliché that he was trying to stop her from leaving. The girl gasped and attempted to shrug him off but he simply tightened his grip and without saying a word, he nodded towards the booth he watched her remove herself from. She found herself trying to let out a simple no but she didn't. A simple no didn't even register to her because a powerful feeling was taking over her. She wanted to be near him.

The girl took over her previous territory and sat where she previously sat. The boy sat in front of her.

"I was debating on whether or not I wanted to show up."

"So you were going to let me sit here until I realized you weren't going to show up?"

"Anyone in their right mind would've left after a while so yes. You would've figured out I wasn't coming."

"Why wouldn't you call or text me?"

"I didn't want to."

"What do you mean you didn't want to?"

"What do you mean what do I mean?" He chuckled, "I didn't want to." His shoulders moved up as he shrugged.

"You promised."

"Yeah, well, I promised a lot of things. Things happen." He stated, shaking his hands and fiddling with the Band-Aids on certain fingers. The girl found herself swallowing down a sob and pushing aside a few emotions.

"Is something wrong?" She questioned, reaching out to place her hands over his.

"Mhm." He hummed.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"Nope." He bluntly stated, looking up and staring into her eyes.

"You can talk to me. You know that right?"

"Mhm." He nodded only to chuckle in disbelief before shaking his head. "The thing is, I don't want to talk to you."

Another shot had been fired and she found herself trying to swallow that bullet. There was no way she could've jolted up in time to avoid it.

"Ok." She croaked, her eyes no longer burning into his as water began to play at the rim of her eyes. The room began to close in and she felt as if she was going to break down within a matter of minutes yet, she still didn't leave. The boys eyes continued to burn into her. He patiently waited for her eyes to meet his again. Taking in a shaky deep breath she looked around. She found herself staring into his eyes once more. However, this time a tear rolled down her cheek. For a second she thought she saw a wave of emotion wash over him. A spark in his eye began to gleam but it disappeared just as quickly as it had came. An unusual dark brown pigment began to take over his eyes. Dark brown wasn't the color to describe it. His eyes were more so black. She was staring into a pool of nothingness. A deep black pool of nothingness. It was everlasting and as she scanned his eyes more tears fell but she didn't care. She was still trying to search for something. Anything.

"Why'd you show up then?" She sobbed, wiping the tears from her eyes. He felt ripples play at his heart and veins popped as he took in the scenery but not once did he let it show. He stayed quiet for a moment, not knowing what to say at all.

"I can't do this."

"Yes you can. We've been through this. You're going to be ok."

"No. I can't do us. I can't do you." He stated before removing himself from the booth and slowly stalking out of the bar. Attention was drawn to the us and you. Her heart broke into two. Emotions swept over. He left her there feeling empty and furious. Most of all, he left her there feeling as if her world was over .
