Today is really gloomy, so I worked on some of this throughout a few of my classes today.

Ann wrote a little bit here and there.

She was interested in spoken word and she was definitely a sight to see.

I found out she was preforming at Bill's and it was a constant thing.

It threw me off honestly.

Staring into the same middle aged man's eyes that I had encountered months prior made me clench my jaw.

The two were close and I had no idea that was Bill.

My boys offered to come to keep me in check, but if anything it would be the other way around.

Their company would only cause problems considering how vulgar they talked about Ann.

I knew this had to be special for her, a poster with her name was on the front of the door.

She looked golden as the crisp light from the stage fell upon her. She was laughing it up with Harold and I couldn't help but stare at the two. He had captured the genuine Leigh-Ann that I no longer knew. I wanted nothing more than to talk to her but that would be wrong. This night was about her and I intended to let her have her moment. I found myself staring at the menu that was plastered on the wall. I hadn't had a cake pop or a simple pastry in a long time, but I found myself simply ordering a white chocolate mocha and drifting off to find a table after I paid. The place was packed and I was shocked, not because I underestimated her but because her event was looking like a successful turn out. No seats were available besides one near a girl closer to the front, but was I truly ready to let Ann know I was here? Standing on the wall with a few other people was a smarter move but I found myself walking towards the front of the little pub.

"Is this seat taken?" I asked as I pointed towards the empty metal like chair, my mocha still clutched in left hand. The girl had a round face, her skin was tan and her eyes almost favored mine. A look of confusion washed over her and then a shy smile.

"Sorry, I'm a little out of it. The seat isn't taken though." She chuckled. I smiled slightly and pulled out the chair before placing myself in it.

"Thanks." With that there was no further conversation. She excused herself when there was a five minute announcement announcing Leigh-Ann would be starting soon. I don't know why she told me but she did. I sipped on my mocha and sighed before retrieving my phone from my trench coat. I silenced it and began to go through a few of my messages. I had multiple texts from a few females I talked to on and off, Santiago, and a group chat filled with the boys.

"Where's Bizzle? I thought he was going out with us tonight."

"Poetry slam or something lame like that. I don't know what's wrong with him."

I simply rolled my eyes and swiped out of the chat. Sure, this was lame. I wasn't the type of person to go to something like this, but I wrote poetry from time to time that eventually turned into songs. This was down my alley, although the boys weren't in favor for my more intellectual side.
