He didn't miss her, not at all. He was just at one of his lows. A wave of emotions that he became fond of swept over him from time to time. The desire to toy with Ann was extremely high. It often replaced the itch he got when he needed more green. He missed the memories and not Ann as a whole. She wasn't stupid, she was very aware of what he was doing since he had done it before. Dropping Harry's phone onto the cushion beside her, her thoughts began to consume her."I can't ." She sobbed into the phone . " I can't . I just can't ."
"Dude, don't ever think you're not important to me. Are you crazy? You're the reason I'm still here. You're everything and more to me."
"I used to believe everything you said." She continued," I'm so stupid. You don't care about me at all, you selfish little prick! I thought I was the selfish one but no, you top off the cake with it. How could you? I needed you."
"I need to focus on me."
"You said that last time. Why do you keep doing this to me? Just please, I'm begging you; leave me alone."
"Ann-"
"No, forget you. I don't care. You don't even care about me. Leave me alone. How could you? Why would you even come back? You know what-" Scoffing, she removed the phone from her ear and hung up.
She couldn't anymore. Ann claimed she would always care yet, he made it so hard to care after a while. To even love him in the same context was hard. Talking for at least two weeks prior resulted in Ann dropping what guard was left around her heart. The aftermath was almost depressing but then again, Ann knew better. She knew he wouldn't stick around long. She was thankful she was slightly in her right mind when they talked on the phone; his persuasive mindset wasn't persuasive enough. The night when they fell asleep on the phone and talked later on that day had been nothing but blissful. Memories were thrown into air along with recent encounters the two had been through.
She shouldn't have acknowledged him to begin with. The hatred she once felt towards him died out but feelings still lay on the surface.
He had gotten what he wanted.
He got his monthly dosage of Ann. The other fix in his life that he craved at certain points.
"Leigh-Ann." Harry called. Ann's eyes flickered between the nothingness and Harry's milky skin before coughing.
"Yeah?" She whispered.
"Are you ok?" He whispered back, lurking towards her and kneeling down.
"I will be." She stated, dryly as she took her lower lip in between her teeth. Harry sighed and ran a hand through his luxurious strands before hitting his upper lip.
Silence soon took over the entire apartment. Harry didn't know what to say or how to comfort his friend for that matter. She didn't seem depressed like usual nor did she seem like something triggered within her. She simply sat there. She was dull but no duller than usual so he simply sat there with her, enjoying the unstable silence.
A/N: Honestly thinking about changing my username. Kiwiacid sounds "hip" right about now. Like kiwi and acid..perfect combo. Lol I'm kidding. It does sound chill though. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter. I apologize for how short it is.
