August 31st The Apartment 12:45
The four teenagers were sitting on the couch watching Sherlock, the TV series. They had gotten to one episode in particular where Sherlock has pulled a stunt to trick everyone into think he is dead and is now revealing that it was all a charade, when Jon's subconscious appears on the couch and lay his head on Jon's shoulder.
"I remember watching things with you, like this. You made me feel safe and warm" Damian said
Jon didn't reply
"Fine you don't want them thinking your weird. I hate to do this, actually I don't, anyway remember our conversation from the other day. Yeah that one where I said maybe I wasn't dead, well what if this is what happened I was knocked unconscious and Slade made you all think I was dead but in reality I'm alive" Damian stated
Jon brushed him off his shoulder
"You okay there jitter bug?" Cassie asked
"Yeah I'm fine" Jon replied as convincing as possible
"How would you react if I came back, would you kiss me and sweep me off my feet or would we have to work to get back what we had?" Damian asked
"Guys I'm going to go out for a walk" Jon Jon exclaimed
"Would you not wait and finish the episode" Lara asked
"You're getting uncomfortable not being able to talk to me" Damian exclaimed
"I've watched it before, I'll see you all later" Jon said leaving
"He's been extremely odd" Cassie stated
"He's a boy, of course he's odd" Lara laughed
Jon left the apartment and got into his super suit and flew off to the explosion site where Damian had disappeared it had been cut off from the public and hasn't been touched since that day.
"Whatcha doing?, you didn't even come here after that day" Damian asked
"Im going either find proof you died or you didn't" Jon replied
"Look at you trying to be a detective" Damian exclaimed
"Now, what am I looking for" Jon asked himself
Jon flew up and was looking at the rubble and in the rubble with his x-ray vision he then saw something laying on top of the rubble, it was out of place, he flew down and picked it up. It was Damian's Robin insignia.
"Look at that, what does that mean" Damian questioned
"That I should have come sooner" Jon sighed
"No it means I was on top of the building, I couldn't have died and look, here comes trouble" Damian said
"Jon what the hell are you doing?" Helena asked as Lara and Cassie flew her down
"Searching" Jon replied
"For what?" Lara asked
"Clues to prove he's alive" Jon replied
"Jon he's dead, he has been dead and will always be dead" Helena exclaimed getting upset
"He's not" Jon stated holding up the insignia
"Wow you found the insignia how does that prove he's alive" Helena spat
"Oh sister how you have lost your way" Damian exclaimed
"It was on top of the rubble" Jon exclaimed
"So what, Jon don't drag this up people are upset enough" Lara said
"He was on the roof, when the bomb went off he was on the roof which means if he was on the building he would have just fallen and broken a few bones not died" Jon stated
"And the penny drops" Damian smirked
"Then where the hell is he and where has he been" Helena questioned
"Let's find out" Cassie replied
"Where do we start" Lara asked
"We should tell everyone" Cassie replied
"No, because if he isn't alive then we don't upset anyone" Helena exclaimed
"Then let's go to the Fortress of Attitude" Jon exclaimed
"Why, it was destroyed" Lara said
"It rebuilds itself and Damian has a private room there that I wasn't allowed into but I have the code to get in" Jon replied taking off
They all headed to the Fortress of Attitude, once they arrived it was almost fully restored. They walked through the main body of the base until the got to the armoury where the suits were kept.
"Why are we in here" Lara asked
"The room we are looking for is behind here" Jon replied opening the secret door which was behind the Superboy armour stand
"Why is it behind yours" Helena questioned
"It be more obvious it was behind his" Jon replied
They all stepped onto the square behind the Superboy armour stand, Jon pressed a button and they then started moving downwards. Once they got to the bottom lights began turning on revealing a Batcave like structure with all of Damian's gadgets, vehicles and suits and everything he was working on.
"Wow he hid this place for six years" Cassie exclaimed
"He's hidden a lot of things" Jon replied walking off into the cave
"What are we doing here" Lara asked
"Not touching anything and looking for...this" Jon said grabbing a world map
"What's the map?" Helena asked
"Get me a black light" Jon ordered
"Here" Cassie stated grabbing one
"It shows all of Slade, Ra's and Talia's bases. If he is alive he is in one" Jon exclaimed
"How do you know so much, he wouldn't tell anyone this" Helena said
"He told me because he understood that if this happened, someone needed to know. He's going to kill me for taking a year to to figure this out" Jon sighed
"That I am, you know you could have come down here alone and left this place a secret" Damian said
"Hey we have to get going, Bruce and Selina's farewell party starts in twenty" Cassie exclaimed
"What about Damian?" Jon asked
"He's waited a year one more day won't hurt" Helena replied
"All I'm going to say is, we should have watched Sherlock sooner" Cassie laughed getting on the elevator
"Your not funny" Lara said blankly
"Hey guys one more thing, if he is alive he can't know I showed you the cave and you cannot ever come down here again" Jon exclaimed
"Understood" they replied
They all left the Fortress of Attitude and headed back to the loft where they changed before heading to the Manor where they had a farewell party for Bruce and Selina before they left the following day.
