October 2nd Santa Prisca 16:45
Helena, Lara and Cassie were on the island of Santa Prisca and have been on the island for a day and a bit now. They had been sent by Bruce to watch over unusual activity on the Island, while there they had observed Bane and two other members of the Legion of Doom, Poison Ivy and Cheetah. They originally thought they were manufacturing venom for Bane and his henchmen to use but they weren't, they were manufacturing something new. Helena saw the chemicals makeup on one of the many screens and it was somewhat reminiscent of Fear Toxin.
"So what do we do now?" Cassie asked
"I need to contact my Father but we don't have signal here, I need to get higher" Helena replied
"I'll give you a lift, Cassie don't get caught" Lara stated taking off with Helena
"Me caught, never" Cassie laughed to herself
"Okay I have a signal" Helena said
"Make your call then" Lara stated
"Father you there?" Helena asked
"Nope he's not here, what's up?" Babs asked
"They aren't making Venom, they're manufacturing Fear Toxin" Helena answered
"Get me a sample of it and I'll get to work with Tim on breaking it down and manufacturing an antidote to it" Babs replied
"We were told to observe no interaction" Helena stated
"I am allowing interaction, as long as you aren't caught" Babs said
"If this goes belly-up, you take the heat" Helena said
"Yes, I understand. Good luck Huntress" Babs said
"Okay let's go down" Helena ordered
"Can we go home now?" Cassie asked
"No we need to get a sample of that toxin" Helena replied
"Ugh" Lara sighed
"I miss my bed" Cassie moaned
"So do I, but we have a job to do. You guys can stay here if you want, I'll be in and out" Helena stated
"What kind of team would we be if we let you go alone?" Lara asked
"We wouldn't be a team" Cassie replied
"Okay then, let's go" Helena said racing off
"I hate when she does that" Lara stated
The three raced off after her, they got into the compound and stuck to the shadows
"Lara I need you on look out, keep your eyes on both of us. Cassie stay hidden and head for those barrels get a sample. I am going to the server room and grabbing all files on the chemical makeup of the toxin" Helena ordered moving on
They split up and went there separate ways, Helena was the first back to Lara with the files on a drive they were waiting for Cassie when they heard a crashing sound.
"Great!" Lara sighed
"As expected" Helena said heading off
The two headed down to find Cassie in a standoff with Cheetah, next two vines came shooting down towards Lara and knocked her out of the air and Helena dodged the one coming at her.
"Try harder Ivy" Helena exclaimed
"I don't need to" Ivy smirked as Bane came crashing through a wall
"Time to die chica" Bane spat
As he charged towards her, Helena began flipping backwards before grappling to one of the beams across the ceiling as Bane smashed into the wall.
"Let's get these three and go home" Cassie said flying at Cheetah tackling her
"Couldn't agree more" Lara exclaimed manoeuvring in the air as vines came at her
"Come get me big guy" Helena said taunting Bane from behind him
"I will break your body, then your spirit" Bane shouted charging
Helena was getting ready to dive out of the way but was too late and she was hit into a tower of barrels of the Fear Toxin. It spilled all over the floor and she began inhaling the toxin. She stood up only to fall back down and she began to seize.
"You idiot, that was the concentrated version she's going to die. He wants them to suffer, not die" Ivy spat
"If she dies, that's one less Bat to deal with" Bane replied
"We need to leave" Cassie said hitting Cheetah into the floor
"Agreed" Lara responded using her heat vision to cut Ivy down from her pedestal
Lara flew down and picked up Helena and then her and Cassie flew out through the roof as the villains ran the opposite direction.
"Open emergency Boom Tube, Destination The Batcave" Cassie said into her comms and a Boom Tube opened
"What's with the emergency Boom Tube?" Babs asked
"Helena is heavily intoxicated with a concentrated version of the toxin" Lara exclaimed
"The MedBay, now" Babs ordered
They brought Helena to the MedBay where they monitored her vitals which were dropping rapidly. Barbara and Tim had begun work on a cure, they had made one and it only had 49% chance of working on such a concentrated dose of the Toxin. They jabbed her with the needle and waited, they waited for another twenty minutes before her vitals began to rise again.
"You two should head home, we'll keep monitoring her" Tim said
"Fine, but contact us when she wakes up" Lara stated as the two took off
They raced back to the apartment, when they arrived they opened the door to find Jon passed out on the couch and Damian was sitting on the opposite side of the couch reading with his back to the door.
"Where's Helena?" Damian asked without turning
"How'd you know she wasn't here" Cassie questioned
"Not the right amount of wait in the footsteps coming through the door, where's my sister?" Damian asked again
"She was dosed with a highly concentrated amount of Fear Toxin, she's in the cave" Lara replied
"Hmm, I thought that would have been Cassie" Damian sighed
"You knew where we were and why me" Cassie asked
"I did, it was supposed to be me, Kent and Helena but I recommended you two instead and Cassie it's because you're you" Damian replied
"Okay I am going to bed before something is said and a fight breaks out" Lara said going to her room
"Me too, unless you want me to carry him to his room" Cassie said looking at Jon
"No I thought we would leave him there" Damian stated
"Yeah, night" Cassie said leaving
"I hate you" Jon said sitting up
"Why" Damian smirked lowering the book
"The fact I had to pretend to sleep to hide these, you're lucky I still love you" Jon replied pointing at the love bites in his neck
"I am so lucky" Damian said getting up
"Hey I am going to pretend to be asleep again and I expect you to carry me to bed" Jon said lying down
"You're lucky I love you too" Damian stated picking him up and carrying him to the bed
Damian dropped Jon onto the bed and Jon then grabbed him pulling him into the bed beside him. Jon lay his head on Damian's chest and Damian carefully stroked his hair while they both drifted off to sleep, while Lara and Cassie went to sleep and Helena was making a slow recovery in the Batcave.
