As Y/N closed her blinds, she stood there frozen, taking deep breaths. She gulped and took one last deep breath then calmed down.
Y/N isnt really the type of person to interact with people. She's introverted and bit socially awkward, but once she get confortable with some, she cherishes them with her life.
When Ranboo arrived at their place, she didnt expect it. She knew her neighbors' grandchild will come but not this soon.
Her and her neighbors are close, very close. Considering that theyre the only ones in that area anyway so, they ended up being friends.
Ranboo's grandparents are the ones who took care of Y/N. Her house used to be complete and happy, or so she thought. Y/N's parents separated, her father left them for another family in the city while her mother died due to her uncured sickness.
Since then, her neighbors took care of her like their own. They would always check whether she already ate, visit each others' house to keep the other company, or walk around the field behind their house.
She sat back down on her desk and started writing on a piece of paper.
She wrote, "Ill be going to the garden by the cliff. Come to me when you need me! :)"
She folded it then set it down on her desk. After that, she changed her clothes to a cute puffy sleeved floral dress that is up to her knees. She loves flowers afterall so, the dress design was expected. She also wore sandals and brought a simple but old bag where she put her journal in and some supplies to use and decorate it.
She grabbed her letter then ran downstairs. She peeked out her front door and looked at the house next door. She checked if there was anyone outside, fortunately for her, no one was there.
She got out of her house and closed her front door. She walked over to her neighbor's mailbox and put in her letter and lifted up the mailbox flag.
After she did that, Ranboo opened the front door and saw her there. She looked up at him and was stunned for a second. Ranboo just blinked while she rushed to put in her letter neatly and then ran away.
Ranboo just watched her with his gaze, confused. After Y/N was out of his gaze, he walked towards the mailbox and looked what she left.
He opened the mailbox and took the only letter there. He saw the writing on the outside of the letter which was "Mr. & Mrs. Beloved."
He decided to open and look at the letter and saw that she was going to be headed somewhere.
"Huh, interesting." He muttered to himself.
He put it back in the envelope and took it inside and gave it to his grandparents.
"The girl from next door left this in the mailbox." He said, handing it over to his grandmother.
"Oh! Thank you Ranboo." Grandmaboo said, taking the letter from Ranboo. He nodded and walked back outside.
He took a deep breath through his nose then let it out of his mouth. He walked over to a swing that is hanging on the roof in his grandparent's porch and sat down. He took off his mask and was about to take out his phone but realized he cant use it anyways. There was no signal or anything.
Suddenly, his grandfather walked out and saw Ranboo on the swing. He decided to join him.
"Hello there." Grandpaboo greeted.
"Hello." Ranboo greeted back.
"You seem to be bored?" His grandfather asked as he sat down next to him.
"Yeah." Ranboo sighed, resting his face on his palm while his elbow rested on the arm rest. "Theres no signal or anything to do so I cant use my phone."
Grandpaboo hummed in response. They stayed silent until he decided to talk again.
"Have you met our neighbor?" Grandpaboo asked. Ranboo turned to him and hummed.
"O-Oh, the girl?" Ranboo asked. Grandpaboo nodded. "Well, I saw her but I havent talked to her. She just runs away whenever I see her."
"Ahh." Granpaboo nodded. "She is shy like you so, that isnt a surprise."
"Im not that shy. Shes that shy that she has to run away from me?" Ranboo asked, turning to his grandfather.
"She isnt used to other people other than us." Grandpaboo shrugged. "I mean, look at this place we're almost out of nowhere."
"Yeah." Ranboo nodded. "I guess."
"She'll get used to it eventually." Grandpaboo replied. "She is probably shocked that you arrived today. We just told her a few days ago that visitors will come. I think she thought it would be a week or two before you arrive."
Ranboo just nodded.
"Are there any places I can go to? I want to roam around." Ranboo shrugged.
"You can just follow the road and you can find some places to relax in." Grandpaboo said, pointing over to the direction where Y/N went. "Theres a lot of gardens there. Its really calming."
Ranboo hummed.
"Okay." Ranboo stood up. "Uhm, I will try to go there."
"Its a good thing you will take a break from your phone you know?" Grandpaboo nodded. "Maybe youll find Y/N there."
"Yeah." Ranboo nodded standing up and about to put on his mask.
"Whats the mask for?" Grandpaboo asked.
"So she doesnt see my face." Ranboo shrugged. "Because of my facial-"
"I know, I know." Grandpaboo chuckled. "Your parents explained to me and your granmama."
Ranboo smiled, he's glad his parents are understanding.
"You dont need that mask since if you would ever find Y/N, she will not look at you in the eye." Grandpaboo shrugged. "She is just too scared of eye contact or people looking at her."
"I guess it wont be useful." Ranboo shrugged. "Ill keep it in the bag first."
He went back inside and ran upstairs. He placed down his mask on the bed and ran back downstairs.
"Well, Ill go take a walk now." He said.
"Okay, see you later." His grandpa replied.
Ranboo waved and walked on the sidewalk to wherever it takes him. From where he stood, the road seems never ending but honestly, it just leads to a forest then takes a turn leading to another route.
While he walked, he admired the view of the flower field by the road. It was really wide and spread out. It was filled with fluffy dandelions and some daisies here and there. It can definitely fit someone's aesthetic.
While taking a walk, he never actually knew the girl's name until his grandfather mentioned it before he left.
"Y/N." Ranboo muttered, then hummed.
It seemed familiar to him. He walked for a few minutes until he got to where the road takes a turn. From where he was facing, there was a forest infront of him and the road turned over to his left. There he saw again, a seemingly never ending road inbetween the forest. It somehow looked like from being in a flower field to a rainforest.
He looked back to the forest in front of him, it looked really eerie. He looked a bit closer and saw something hidden within the bushes and vines that grew over the years.
He crouched down and brushed off the leaves and vines off of whatever was hidden. There, he saw a sign with writings over it that says, 'To the Garden by the Cliff,' with a hand pointing towards the forest.
"'Garden by the Cliff.'" Ranboo read out loud then scoffed. "Thats the actual name of it?"
He scoffed. "Dumb name."
He stood back up and placed his hands in his pockets. Surprisingly, he walked into the forest to begin his mini adventure.
