"You start with introducing yourself." Ranboo explained. "Granpapa already introduced you to me but its better to hear it from you."

"O-Oh, okay, okay." Y/N nodded then took a deep breath. She looked at the ground to avoid eye contact with Ranboo.

"M-My name is Y-" Y/N started. She paused so Ranboo raised his eyebrows, waiting for her to continue.

"Your name is?" Ranboo asked.

"Y/N." She replied. Ranboo smiled. "My name is Y/N."

"Okay, youre doing great." Ranboo said. "But you dont introduce yourself while looking at something else. They will think youre talking to another person."

"Like this, follow my lead." Ranboo added.

He offered his hand to Y/N and said, "My name is Ranboo, nice to meet you! Whats your name?" He then projected a bright smile.

Y/N watched what he did including how he offered his hand and when he showed her a smile, she returned a small version of it.

"You reply?" Ranboo whispered to get Y/N to answer.

"My name is Y/N." She whispered. Ranboo nodded then signalled for her to shake his hand.

Y/N stared at it and took a deep breath. She lifted her hand and shook his hand.

They smiled at each other and when they let go of each other's hand, Y/N stood up and ran to where the pond was.

"I did it!" Y/N whispered, cheering almost to herself but Ranboo could still hear and see her. "I did it, I did it! I made a friend!"

Ranboo shook his head and then turned to the things that was near him. Y/N's journal got his attention. He looked at it and observed what the contents are.

"Y/N's journal." He read outloud to himself.

He lifted his arm up to turn and look at the pages. He looked at how delicate each decoration of each page was. It was like looking in a photo album but instead of just photos, there are also texts that write about Y/N's days.

Y/N turned around to see Ranboo looking through the journal's pages. She wouldve freaked out if Ranboo didnt surprise her with his sudden beauty thrown at her.

Ranboo was leaning on one arm, shoulder up to his cheek, while his other arm was turning the journal's pages. Y/N had the perfect view of Ranboo's face and she used it to observe his face. She never really got to look at it since she was even afraid of eye contact.

The way how his hair fall infront of his face was perfect, his jawline, everything was beautiful. Y/N didnt even realize she was already staring and she was just standing there, admiring Ranboo's beauty.

When Ranboo turned to her, he was suprised to see her staring at him. When Y/N realized she was staring at around the same time when Ranboo realized, they both looked away timidly.

Y/N walked back and sat down, not turning to Ranboo. She mumbled something Ranboo couldnt understand so he turned to her and asked.

"What was that again?" He asked.

She mumbled a bit louder but still inaudible. "Again?" Ranboo asked. "Louder and clearer..?"

"sorryforstaring." She mumbled but this time Ranboo understood.

He chuckled and smiled. "I-Its.. Its fine." He turned to her and patted her head in an appreciating manner. "You trusted me with your life basically so Ill trust you with my face."

"Dont make fun of my face, Ill not make fun of your shyness." He added.

"Theres nothing to make fun of your face though." She replied. "Youre perfect."

Ranboo was cut off and felt his cheeks warm up. He didnt expect the sudden compliment from someone like her, a  socially awkward person.

"T-Thanks." He replied, rubbing the back of his neck. "Youre not that bad yourself."

"Thank you." She replied, then smiled.

Then all of a sudden, droplets started falling from the sky. They both looked up. Y/N stretched out her arm to see if it was raining. When she did that, the rain started pouring down.

They quickly packed in the things in Y/N's bag while she grabbed out an umbrella. She opened it and put it above their head just in time before the rain got a bit stronger. They can go home, but it will be difficult.

It was a bit cramped in the umbrella and both of them felt bad for the other. Ranboo wanted to carry the umbrella but if he carries it, he gets too tall and Y/N's legs get wet. Y/N didnt want to hold the umbrella since Ranboo was hunched over a bit in order to get shorter to fit in the umbrella.

"Are you okay there?" Ranboo asked Y/N.

Y/N looked up and nodded. She asked, "are you?"

"Im okay too." Ranboo replied. "This rain sure was a surprise."

"Yeah." Y/N nodded. "Do you want to let the rain pour down until it calms down a bit?"

"Yeah. I think that would be better anyway." Ranboo replied. Y/N nodded and gestured for them to sit by the tree trunk.

They both sat down with the umbrella on top of them to protect them from any rain droplets that will drop through the leaves.

"Ranboo, right?" Y/N asked, making sure. Ranboo nodded.

"Did you know this tree is about 100 years old?" Y/N added, turning to the tree.

"Really?" Ranboo asked, looking at the tree now too and Y/N nodded. "How did you know that?"

"Mr. and Mrs. Beloved told me." Y/N replied. "They just told me what their parents told them."

"Ohh." Ranboo nodded.

"This tree has been here for a long time." Y/N continued, holding the bark of it.

"That is cool." Ranboo said, running his fingertips on it. "Wait what is this?"

He asked when he saw some small etching on the wood. Y/N looked closely and saw the same thing he saw.

The etching they saw was a heart with initials inside. R and Y.
