Y/N and Ranboo both woke up, gasping, sweat all over them, and a horrified look on their faces. They sat up on their beds, panting, as if they ran a kilometer non-stop.
Ranboo ran his hands on his face, resting his arms on his knees.
"I hate that." Ranboo muttered repeatedly, then he placed his hands on his temple and groaned afterwards. "Worst. Dream. Yet."
Y/N in her own house, placed a hand on top of her chest, feeling the quick beating of her heart.
"Iー I just.." She muttered. "I just died!"
"I-I just.. I.." Y/N couldnt process what she just dreamt about.
The dreams she had were weird, yes, but not to the point where she dies in them.
"I hate that." She whispered to herself.
Ranboo and Y/N then both laid back down on their own beds, staring up at the ceiling. They tried to calm themselves down but staring off into space.
Once calmed down, Y/N stood up to make herself some breakfast. While Ranboo, he stayed there, drowning himself in his own thoughts.
After a while, he stood up and stomped down the stairs, eyebrows furrowed. His grandmother, who was making breakfast, saw his expression and immediately asked about it.
"Ranboo? Whats wrong?" She asked as Ranboo pulled a seat to sit down on at the dining table.
"N-Nothing." He shook his head looking up at her then back to the ground. "Just.. I just had a weird dream."
Grandmaboo nodded and turned to what she was cooking. She was cooking homemade pancakes and it smelled so good.
In the other house, Y/N toasted the bread she has and waited for it while sitting at the dining table. She couldnt help but stare into space and think about the dream. It genuinely terrified her.
Her trance was interrupted by the toaster's ding. She jumped a bit then turned to the toaster. She stood up, walked towards it and served the toast on a plate then walked back over to the dining table.
She tool a deep breath then started eating. She stopped when she rememvered something, or well, something to look at while she's eating.
She stood up, pushing the chair back, and went back to her room. She looked through the series of polaroid photos that she has taken in the past and kept as either decoration for her journal or as memories. She looked through it until she found what she was looking for, Ranboo's other photo the day before.
She smiled at the sight of it. She grabbed her journal and the things used to decorate it and ran back downstairs. She sat at her previous seat and laid out the materials she will use on the table and picked them out.
Eventually, she finished picking the decoration of a page and she started decorating. She dedicated the page to Ranboo and what happened the day before.
In the Beloved household,
"Here's your pancakes." Grandmaboo said, placing down the plate of pacakes in front of Ranboo.
"Thank you granmama." Ranboo said looking up at her and smiling.
When he looked up, he caught a glimpse of his polaroid picture attached on the fridge door.
"Granmama?" He asked as he turned to his grandmother.
"Yes?" She asked, looking up at him.
"Where did you get this photo?" He asked, standing up and walking over to the polaroid. He held it up so his grandmother could see it better.
"Oh, that!" She chuckled. "I forgot to tell you about it."
Ranboo look at it then walked back to his seat while his grandmother explained.
"That's from Y/N." She started. "She took a photo of you from yesterday."
"I didnt know she took two photos." He muttered.
His grandmother hummed, not knowing what to reply.
"Well, she was scared to give it to you so she just handed it to me and told me to give it to you." Grandmaboo smiled. "But I forgot last night. You were happy last night so I didnt want to disrupt your happiness and just let you go to sleep happily."
Ranboo smiled, he was still looking at the photo this whole time. He felt happy and contented by the sight of his own photo and knowing Y/N took it.
"You should eat, the pancakes are getting cold." Grandmaboo said, turning her attention towards her own plate of pancakes.
"Oh right." Ranboo chuckled, placing down the photo and eating his pancakes.
___
Ranboo was now laying back down on his bed, one arm on his stomach, one arm on his forehead
He was deep into his thoughts when he remembered the second photo that Y/N took. He turned and reached over to the bedside table and grabbed the polaroid.
He laid back down straight and held it up above his face. He observed it, smiling at some parts. He sort of liked how his face wasnt seen in the photo. He also liked how some of the sun's rays were hitting the camera, the way the grass and flowers titled towards where the wind brought them. He honestly liked every single bit of it, including the part that Y/N took it.
Suddenly, he remembered Paint, the girl in his dreams. He lowered the polaroid and placed it on his bedside table again.
He interlaced his fingers and rezted them on his stomach. Staring offninto the space again, he took a deep breath and tried not to remember the tragedy in his dream but it was still there. He wished he could forget it like how he forgets himself during his dreams.
Since his sleep was interrupted by the sudden horror in his dreams, he felt sleepy again. His stomach was full and he barely got any sleep so he slowly drifted off to sleep again.
He thought of Paint as he slowly fell asleep. He just hoped he wouldnt experience the same tragedy in their last dream again.
"Paint." He muttered then chuckled. "I hope she didnt actually die."
He then fell back asleep.
