Y/N was upset. She was there for a few minutes, in complete darkness. The only source of light was this convenience store. She was scared.

If Green Eye wouldve come earlier, she wouldnt have been drenched and actually feel like being sick. She thought, she was the one who cane late but apparently, it was him.

For the few days they have hang out in this dream world, she would see him smile widely whenever they could get to talk about the real world. Not that they remember alot, only the vague memories will be shared and thats it.

Green Eye doesnt remember what exactly he talks about but Y/N will just find him smile. A smile she has never seen him do before, a smile wider than how she makes him smile.

And the talk was usually about the friend he made during his vacation.

"She seems nice, to be honest." according to Y/N.

It pinched Y/N's heart a bit but as if she had a choice. Not that she can just pop out in the real world and do an excavation just so she could find her soulmate and prevent them from falling in love with another person. Besides, not all soulmates end up together.

Maybe Y/N wasnt just upset, she was also jealous.

"Paint?" Green eye called. She has zoned out for a bit and Green eye has been calling to grab her attention.

She looked up at him, meeting his bright green eye and raised her eyebrows. "Yeah?"

"Are you okay?" He asked.

She shook her head. "No."

"Do you mind telling me?" Green eye asked again. "I might help."

"No, I dont really mind." Y/N shook her head, smiling after.

Green eye nodded and turned his attention to her. Even if he was looking out on the streets in front of them, he's focused on listening to Y/N. "Tell me, whats wrong?"

"Im just upset." Y/N admitted. "Im upset because... Ill be alone again."

"Alone?" Green eye asked. "What do you mean?"

Y/N sighed.

"I have a friend in the real world and, he.. he will be leaving soon and we wont get to hang out anymore." She admitted, somewhat lifting a heavy weight on her chest.

"Well, theres still other people." Green eye replied. "You can just hang out wiー"

"I dont have anyone else." Y/N said, cutting him off. "He is my first and only friend."

Green eye was taken aback by this newfound information.

"You survived what, 16 years without friends?" He asked, almost chuckling. Y/N turned and glared at him.

"Is this supposed to be a helpful or insulting talk?" Y/N asked, obviously offended.

He raised his arms in the air, surrendering. He turned his gaze away. "Okay, okay. Im sorry."

Y/N rested her head on her arms again and sighed.

"Well, if your friend will leave, Im still here." Green eye shrugged.

Y/N replied, "You're busy too."

"What?" Green eye then turned to her.

"Dont act dumb." Y/N scoffed. "You came here late. I was alone in the darkness for a while."

"Im sorry! I-"

"And you thought I dont notice how your wide your smile is when we talk about your life outside?" Y/N continued, starting to get furious. "About that friend of yours that you treasure so much and you wish you could just stay with her forever?"

Okay, maybe Y/N got a bit carried away all of a sudden. You cant blmae her, not having someone to release her anger to is difficult. Let alone for 16 years. From a broken family and taken care of by old people who will most likely not understand what she meant when she needs help is difficult for her.

"Paint, its notー"

"After my friend leaves, you would be busy with another person in your life." Y/N continued, tears threatening to falls down her cheeks. "You will spend more time with them, because you know them fully, unlike me you barely know me. We've only known each other for a week or two."

Green eye furrowed his eyebrows and looked at Y/N with pain in his eyes. This is genuine anger from her. Anger and sadness. She's always been so cheerful and this is the only time he released her pain and frustration at someone.

"And- and I'd be alone again." Y/N finished, her tears falling down her cheeks.

"Paint.." Green eye muttered.

Her tears were too much, even if she tried to stop it, it wont. She doesnt even know why she is crying. Because of jealousy? Is she hurt? Scared of abandonment?

"But its fine..." She muttered. "Ive been alone for 16 years like you said."

She chuckled painfully.

"Id get used to it again." She added. "Its just that..."

She took a deep breath and turned her head up, leaning it back on the pole she's leaning on.

"The two people, that I genuinely made a connection with, is gonna leave me." She cried. "Everyone that I thought was..."

She started sobbing again, remembering those times when her dad left and when her mom died next to her.

"Everyone that I made a huge connection with. The people that I thought would stay," She sobbed. "will eventually leave me."

"Y/N, its not liー"

They paused. Y/N gasped and her eyes widened and Green eye just paused,  trying to recall what he just said.

"What did you say?" Y/N turned to him.

"I..." Green eye muttered. It was his real world self talking, not his dream self.

"D-Do you remember what you just said?" Y/N asked again.

"I.." He continued. "N-No.. I dont recall for some reason.." He shook his head and looked down, disappointed in himself.

Y/N sighed, turning away from him. "Its fine. I.. I barely recall it now too." She chuckled.

They stayed silent after that moment. Relieving that tension between them. Y/N just let her tears fall down her cheeks until it stopped. Eventually, the tension died down and both of them calmed down.

"Im sorry." Y/N chuckled, wiping away tears from her cheek. "I got a bit carried away there."

Green eye didnt respond.

"I should not be hurt of whatever youre doing in your own life. Im nobody." Y/N continued.

"But youre my soulmate, we're made foー"

"Im just your soulmate. We are made for each other," Y/N cut him off again. "but that doesnt mean I have to be yours."

Green eye was taken aback. It is true. The universe connected them but that doesnt mean, they have to love each other. Funny, right? Youre soulmates but you dont even end up together. Even if the universe says so, its still up to the two people.

"Yeah." was all Green eye could muster from that.

He took a deep breath and continued. "Paint, listen."

Y/N looked up at him and he looked up at her.

"These past few days of us talking and getting to know each other in this made up world," Green eye started. "Is probably the best thing to ever happen to me."

"You mean that?" Y/N muttered.

"Yeah." He nodded. "I know Im bad at showing how much I appreciate the time we spent together,"

Y/N chuckled silently.

"But I promise, what ever I said just now is genuine." He smiled.

Y/N smiled back.
