1st POV: Mayuko's

There was a sound that was all too familiar and it wasn't just the sound of beeping heart rate. A sweet song…A song that brought me to tears and it made my heart strongly ache to hear it. I wanted to resist opening my eyes and I was able to for only a short amount of time. My ears soaked in the song and it made me realize that I was alive. I was still breathing and my heart was still beating. My shattered heart was mending on the shelf.

"The moon kisses the sun and parts for the world to shine

In the midst of angels traveling from the heavens on time

Yet I found the night air still cold

Wishing I had someone warm to hold

Till you came along, giving me a reason to smile

I became like a silly child

And I had these one hearted feelings, before you noticed me

I pulled you in and kept you close even if it was the greatest sin

You shower in the pouring moonlight

You illuminate in the shining sunlight

I had to keep it and store it in my heart

When we got together we made two

And you became something I didn’t want to desperately lose

Sacrifices were made and tears were spilled, but I never stopped loving you

I never felt like giving up on you, because you were something I didn’t want to desperately lose

My love never falters and it is deeper than any waters

And for this, I shall disappear to keep this pain from going any farther

For better or for worse

 For richer, for poorer

In sickness and in health

To love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do us part

Goodbye Mayuko for all eternity

I hope one day you can forgive me”

I heard the sound of a chair move, footsteps and suddenly the door closed. Finally, I opened my eyes and tears washed my cheeks. So, this was our goodbye Sehun? A song. It was the song that I lived by for a year. The tears that burned from my eyes, felt like a cold winter rain on my face and I knew it had to be like this.

Slowly, I had realized there was the sound of music playing in the background, close to my ear. I brought my hand from under the hospital bed sheets and I wiped my eyes to look over at a box that was a on a table next to me. It was open and a doll spun around in it. This was the box Sehun gave me and there was a note inside with a small golden box, the size of a quarter. There was pain in my chest, but I hadn't thought of what happened before I got her and I reached in the box.

The note read:

You've reached the last stage. You can have your happy ending with the person you love.
