1st POV: Mayuko's

Everything that happened yesterday was a success and I didn't think it would turn out so well. We were almost there and it kind of felt like we were there. The bed was warm as I woke up to no one next to me. Where had Kai gone? It made me remember of the time before I was here. I had a nightmare that Kai had abandoned me. It was the worse dream I had ever had, but that would never happen. Kai would always be here next to me with Kai.Jr.

I got up out of the bed and saw there was a note on the lamp. It read: I went out to do something. Wait on me.

I smiled and got dressed simply in a thigh length pink floral pattern skirt with a armless white sleek blouse. When I was about to leave the room, to check on Kai.Jr, I heard a phone beep. It was the phone Kai had given me after he had got rid of the one Sehun gave me. Sehun had crossed over my mind, but the message I read sent hearts to float right out my mind.

From: Husband

Meet me at the place where memories are left with tears.

Was this a surprise?

That had to be only one place. I quickly made it out the room and asked for a driver. My wish was granted and I got him to drive me to the outskirts of the Han River. Wearing flats, I carefully walked up the walkway to the get to the river. I looked around and I didn't see anyone.

"Kai!" I shouted happily and walked down the river, thinking he had to somewhere for him to call me here. But, I stopped when I felt I had stepped on something. I blinked and looked down. Like lightning, I bolted back and there was a puddle of blood, red as crimson. There was a trail and my eyes followed the trail that leaded behind a tree. My vision caught the sight of the river and I couldn't see.

The world itself fell around me as I saw half of Kai's body in the water, with his head and upper body on the bank. Red blood seeped and I could see it trailing down from his head. No.

Scared and frightened, I ran to him and tried pulling him out as I called out his name loudly in the most horrid scream I ever made in my life. "Kai!"

My hands met his face and his blood was all over the palms of my hands. "Look at me!"

I shook his face, hoping he would open his eyes, but they remained shut. When I took a notice there was a gunshot to the side of his head, I heard the click of one and it was to the back of my head. Me entire body froze like ice and my insides were empty.

"Slowly look at me," I heard a female's voice and it was so familiar. I was in doubt, but it was in vain when I looked in her angry eyes that were full of tears.

"P-Please," I begged.

"I said those some words. I guess there is no happy ending here after all."

Her gun lowered from my head to my chest, directly over my heart. She even shot the source of love and everything was gone. There's no such thing as a happy ending. Was this cost of living a sinful life? I never thought that it would end like this. I thought things were getting better. I should have known better.
