Chapter 41

Awakened

Alli's Perspective

My eyes fluttered open and the first thing I saw was Keaton. Well, kind of. His

face was in his hands and I could tell he was crying. What was going on? I

looked around and saw that I was in a hospital. Last nights events flashed

through my head. "Keaton," I said softly. I put my hand on his knee to show him

it was okay. This just upset him more but I got him to look at me. "Baby I'm so

glad your okay. I'm so sorry. You have no idea. I was so scared and I wasn't

sure if you were going to make it. No one was answering me and there was blood

everywhere." He was rambling again. This is how it all started. "Keaton it's

okay," I tried to calm him down. "No it's not," he said louder now. "You could

have died," he whispered. I got out of bed and sat in Keaton's lap with my arms

around him. He hugged me the tightest he ever has. "Can we go home now?" I

asked. "Yeah," he whispered. Keaton carried me to the car and drove me home.

When he got there, he laid me on our bed, stroking my hair. "So how does our

future look together?" He asked. Honestly, I didn't know. I loved Keaton with

all my heart but I can't keep letting him do this to me. "I don't know Keats," I

said softly. "I understand."  Silence. "Wesley or me?" This is what it came down

to. "You. And I'm not lying. I promise." Keaton climbed into bed with me and for

the rest of the day we just laid there. It didn't matter how we felt, we just

needed the presence of each other to comfort us.
