Chapter39:

KEATONS PERSPECTIVE

It's been two weeks since Alli and I have been better than ever. I walked into

our room to find Alli sitting on the balcony on her laptop. "Watcha doin?" I

asked sitting next to her. It was a chilly afternoon in California, which caused

her to wear my sweats. "Just looking for classes that I can take." she said

simply not taking her eyes off of the screen. "Oh well,Simon booked four hour of

recording for today and the boys and I are leaving in an hour. Take a break?" I

asked her closing the laptop. "I can't I'll just see you when you get

home, yeah?" she replied moving away from me to open the laptop again. I was

somewhat shocked that she turned me down. "Come on Alli, don't be stupid" I said

grabbing the laptop and closing it. "Jesus christ Keaton give me the laptop" she

demaded. Why was she getting so mad over this? "No,come on" I said getting up.

"Give me my fucking laptop Keaton,I don't have time for this" she said clearly

annoyed. "Kiss me,and you get the laptop" I teased thinking she would quickly

calm down, boy was I wrong. "I can never do anything in this house!" she yelled

storming out of the room.

*Alli's Perspective*

I stormed out of our room annoyed. Why couldn't he just be serious for once?

This was important to me,I needed to find a good school to go to instead of

sitting in this house while Keaton makes something of himself. "Drew!" I said

annoyed as I walked into his room to find him reading a book. "What's wrong

Alli?" he asked worried. "Keaton's being a complete dick and wont give me my

laptop, can I use yours?" I asked just standing there. "U-uh yeah sure" he

stuttered handing me his laptop. I mumbled a quick 'thanks' before making it

back into our room, storming by Keaton and onto the balcony. "You're looking for

schools in New York?!" he spat from behind me. I didn't answer, but kept

searching for different websites. "God dammit Alli. Answer me" he growled now

really mad. I slowly turned around and looked at his stressed face. "Well

Keaton,I can't stay in this house doing absolutely nothing while everyone else

is making a future for themselves. I just can't do it." I snapped at him. "SO

YOU GO TO SCHOOL IN FUCKING NEW YORK? WHY CAN'T YOU GO TO ONE IN CALIFORNIA

ALLI?" he screamed down at me. I quickly got up and left the room. "JESUS ALLI

GET BACK IN HERE" he yelled again. I just ignored him and made my way down the

stairs. Walking quickly out of the house I sat myself on the sand watching the

waves roll in and out. "I heard what happened" a familiar voice spoke.

I looked next to me to see Wesley sitting next to me. "Can I ask you something

Wesley?" I asked looking at him. "Anything" he whispered. "Why are you always

hear to pick up the broken pieces?" I whispered looking into his perfect eyes.

"Maybe because I'm better for you Alli,I'm just waiting for you to notice" he

whispered leaning in closer to me. "Please, just let me kiss you" he whispered

gently resting his lips onto mine. He was a good kisser, but Keaton was better.

His lips we're soft, but Keaton's were softer. He wasn't Keaton and this didn't

feel right. "Out." Keaton's voice growled. We both quickly pulled apart to find

Keaton standing there with tears falling out of his eyes. "Get out of my house,I

never want to see you again" he said painfully. "Keaton-" I was cut off.

"Actually,go upstairs." he demanded looking towards the house. I quickly rose to

my feet walking quickly to our room. I can't believe I just did that. I walked

into the bathroom, locking the door behind me. I quickly found the blade and

began cutting small deep cuts on my arm.
