Chapter 36

Next Mornings

Keaton's Perspective

Damn. Alli was good. The best. But I felt like we haven't had a real date in

awhile. I didn't want this relationship to be all sex. Sure it was great but we

were only 16. I decided I would take her to the beach today and later on we

would go to the boardwalk. If she ever woke up that is. She always slept the

latest in the house. "Alli," I cooed into her ear while rubbing her back. She

groaned. "Come on baby, I got bug plans for today. It'll be fun. I promise."

"Fine," she mumbled. I helped her out of bed and went downstairs to see what was

for breakfast. "Ew guys get a room." Drew and Cece were making out on the couch.

"Says the one who has sex 24/7," Drew argued. "At least we're in a room," I said

back. "Why is there no breakfast yet?" "You can make it yourself bro," Drew

answered. Ughh this was not the time. "Where's Wes?" "Out back." I walked out

onto the beach to find Wesley sitting in  the sand, watching the  waves roll in.

" Hey," I said, sitting next to him. No answer. "What's up?" Still silencwe.

Finally, Wesley answered. "Do you love her?" I was taken off  guard. "Yeah. Of

course I do. Yeah. Why?" "Do you really know her?" "Of course I do.Wesley what

are you talking about Wesley," I demanded. Somthing was up.  "She has a past

Keats." I got scared all of a sudden. "Everyone does." "No Keaton. She's not

what you think. She has a dark past. She's been in rehab, her dad beat her and

her mom." I didn't have words for anything he was saying. What? Why didn't she

tell me? Anger. Sadness. I fwlt numb all over. "How do you know?" I whispered.

Wesley stood up and started walking away. I ran up to him and grabbed his arm.

"Answer me!" I yelled. The tears were coming. I needed to punch soemthing. I

needed to know.  Wesley put his hands up. "All I'm saying is to be careful.

She's fragile." He walked off. I didn't know how to sort it out, comprehend it.

What was going through Wesley's mind? Did they have a deeper relationship than I

thought? How come I didn't know any of this? I knew she had a past but -

"Keaton!" My thoughts were cut  off by Alli's sweet voice. I looked up back to

the house and saw her standing on the balcony waving at me.

Alli's Perspective

I got dressed quickly, wanting to know what Keaton had in store for me today. I

went onto the balcony, looking at  the gorgeous view. I saw Keaton standing on

the beach, looking out at the ocean. I called to him and  then turned, running

back down through the house to see him. Wesley was just coming in the door. "Hey

Wes," I chirped. "Hey Alli," he said back, quickly hugging me. I continued

walking out to the beach. Keaton was walking towards me with his hands in his

pocket. "Hi Sweetie," he put his hands on ym waist and kissed my forehead. "What

are we doing today?" Keaton looked distracted. "Well since no one made breakfast

and I'm too lazy to make it, we're going to go out to get something to eat."

"Okay," I said, Keaton took my hand and held onto it firmly. Then, I saw him

looking at me strange. "Keaton, what's wrong," I stopped walking. "Nothing. Come

on. We have to get there early before the crowd comes. I'm taking you to this

realyl good pancake place and if you don't get -" he was rambling. "Keaton. I

know somethings wrong so tell me." "We need to talk." This was it He was

breaking up with me. "Okay," I said trying to hold back the tears. Keaton led me

to the beach and sat down, pulling me onto his lap. There was nothing but

silence. I felt a tear on my shoulder. Oh crap. My makeups running, I thought.

But I soon realized it wasn't me that was crying. It was Keaton.
