Chapter 73

Awoken

Alli's Perspective

I was woken up by Wesley's voice violently whispering into the phone. I was in

his bed. I sat up on my elbows and watched him. "Alright I'll be down in a few.

Okay...Bye." He hung up the phone and turned around. "Hey you're up." He bent

down to kiss my cheek. "Who was that?" I asked gesturing to the phone that was

now on the night stand. He ran his fingers through his hair and took in a

breath. "Um that was the police." I gulped. "I need to go pick up Keaton by 6

tonight. I guess they don't have anymore room in there and Keaton has to leave."

I had almost forgotten about Keaton. Everyone had kept me busy, especially CeCe.

I had been helping her pick out names and other necessities to help get ready

for the baby. "Okay," I sighed. "Why am I in your bed though?" I asked giggling.

"You fell asleep outside last night so I brought in you in here with me." I

giggled again. "I mean I didn't want to put you in your room because I didn't

know how you would feel about going back in there and I didn't want to put you

on the couch," Wesley rambled on, his face turning a faint red. "It's okay. It

was comfy in here," I replied cheerily. Then I remembered Stephanie. I haven't

seen her around lately. Did she leave Wes because of me? "Um Wes," I asked

gingerly. "Mhm," he hummed back. "Is Stephanie mad that I'm um that I've been

with you a lot?" I could see Wesley hesitate. "Nah she's just been going out a

lot. No biggie," he smiled. I smiled back as he headed out the door to get

Keaton.

Keaton's Perspective

I jumped up from the bench I was laying on when I heard voices coming down the

hall. I stuck my head through the bars as best I could, hoping to see Alli. I

just wanted to hug her and tell her I'm sorry I had to put her through this.

Much to my disappointment, Wes walked through the door. Without Alli. Wes

quickly looked at me before turning away. I didn't even do anything that bad. I

was drunk so what. I just couldn't wait to get home to Alli. The cop unlocked

the cell door and I flew out. Wes looked at me with disgust but I didn't care. I

was going back to Alli. Wesley began walking out the door and I followed him.

"Hey man," I said. "Happy to see me?" Nothing. He unlocked the car door and I

hopped in. The radio wasn't on. Just silence between us. "If it was up to me

you'd still be in there," Wesley broke the silence. "What?" I asked. "Not only

did you just get arrested you crushed Alli." I knew I was going to have to be

lectured but Wes was taking it a little too far. I was only in jail for a night.

Alli couldn't be that bad. "Well I know Alli must have been wreck but I'll make

it up to her." "You don't even know what you put her through!" Wesley screamed.

"How wasted were you?" "What happened to Alli?" I asked curiously. "YOU LOST HER

KEATON. HOW COULD YOU HAVE BEEN SO DRUNK TO SAY SUCH TERRIBLE THINGS ABOUT HER?

WHO ARE YOU?" Wesley pounded his hand on the wheel. Panic flooded through me.

What did I say? Was she okay? "She's scared of you man," Wesley said much

quieter.

Silence followed us the whole ride home leaving me to wonder what i had done.

Finally, we pulled into the driveway. Wesley flung himself out of the care but I

quietly climbed out, afraid of what I was about to enter. Wesley walked through

the door and I followed. I saw Alli's beautiful face and heard her beautiful

laugh as she sat on the couch with CeCe. The door slammed, causing her to look

my way. I smiled at her, but she grew quiet and her face changed drastically. I

walked toward her carefully with my arms open, ready for her to come into them.

"I'm home," I hummed. I watched her get up walk towards me. Yes, I thought.

She's okay and everything's fine. She looked at me the whole time. Her eyes were

flooded with her tears. As she was almost in my arms she looked away. I stepped

closer, only to watch her take Wesley's hand. Wesley gave me a look of pure hate

before whisking her away.
